@TM I think you have got your answers by now...All I would like to add I'm happy with their decision and I truly respect that. They deserve much much better than all of this. PERIOD.

It happens with each show, every show is at its best in initial months and then slowly it loses its shine and spark. Same with D3

Show has been running for yearrs... It does't come to me as a surprise when people say, show has become boring BECAUSE eventually show loses its plot and theme!

It would have been better had channel closed this show in 2012 itself

nah it would have been better if they would have closed the d3 in 2011-2012 itself with first cast of d3 itself making swaron n kriyansh end together , 2012-2013 d3 had lost its charm thats why need to bring shakti back arose otherwise channel would not have ever approached shakti and kept bugging her for 3 months constantly to come back when they clearly knew that she was busy with A R REHMAAN CONCERTS ,
