So here you go😛
Dil Dostii Dance completes 3 years on air - with the very 1st team!
11th April 2011, saw for the very 1st time, an entire bunch of fresh face on Channel V's Youth Show', Dil Dostii Dance! It is now 11th April 2014, which marks 3 years of the show being on air, and from what it seems like, an even longer way to go! So on this lovely day for the entire cast and crew of D3, urlremoved speaks with the very first cast as well as creative team,of this amazing loved by all show, about how they feel of this lovely achievement, and some old memories they will always remember!
Palki Malhotra (Creator of D3)- Honestly, I don't know how to express this wonderful achievement for the show in words! I mean, it just feels great! Nobody ever thought a show which was aiming at around 150 episodes or so in the beginning would reach a 3 year mark! It is a huge achievement for the entire team of D3 and whoever has been associated with this show! I in some way, do relate some aspects of the show with DMG. Firstly the love stories, in both the shows show a lot of passion. Both shows had and have very strong impactful love stories which have just always managed to draw the audiences so well to them! Secondly the desire to pursue an ambition, a passion, be it an intern/ doctor or a dancer. That too has had a very strong pull. I have had a chance to work with newcomers in both these shows, and coming to D3, I do remember my initial days very well. Fights, misunderstandings, a lot of hardwork on these guys have all been a major part of it, but somehow I felt that in the end, the entire bunch has always understood me. There has always been a good level of understanding between us all, despite these small interrupting factors. Which still does feel great, as the result of all the mehenat has turned out to be awesome! This show too, has also had its up and downs of course. The very first one hit us when Shakti decided to leave as she was keen on pursuing her career solely in dance. Those were stressful days for me, as I was so worried and just wouldn't sleep! I along with the team wasn't sure of what was going to happen next, and it was at that time that Shantanu infact came up to me and said not to worry, as he was sure Kunwar would pull of the show well. And trust me, both these boys, Kunwar and Shantanu pulled off the show, and are still doing so, brilliantly! My girls too, Sneha and Vrinda who was fairly new, did manage to pull off the show at that stage very well, which was great, till Sneha then decided to quit for her personal reasons. That was also a big blow for me as we had Sharon' going too, but knew we had to replace her. Though till we got Vrushika after a few months, I would like to say hats off to Vrinda who pulled off the show so so well in that period. She was brilliant! But you know, somewhere I always thought that bhai yeh show chalta rahega aur acha hi chalta rahega, as even with DMG we had 3 Riddhima's, and the boys were all stable, with the show still going on, and so that did motivate my confidence on the show to still run well! Coming to the fans of this show, like I've said before, If given a chance, I would personally like to meet and thank each and everyone of them for making this show what it is today! They have been lovely! Somehow I always prefered being behind the camera but yes getting to know their view points, what they think is also important, including criticism, as that's what makes a show. Makes anyone and anything actually! Criticism and feedback is very healthy to go ahead in life, be it bad or good. Lastly I would like to say, that these 3 boys, Kunwar Amarjeet Singh, Shantanu Maheshwari and Karan Singh Grover, have made me who I am today! And of course, wishing the current entire D3 team lots of love and success for this awesome achievement, and lots of love to our fans as well for making this dream of mine so so big!
Danish Mansurie (Initial Associate Creative Head of D3)- As I have said before, the show has immense scope of growth, and also the seeding of the show has been so strong that it can even go on forever! So 3 years today, is big and I am really happy to see the team doing so well. Personally, I miss everything about Cinevistaas studios, as it was like my second home. Though I miss seeing dance on the show which is ideally the 1st element, which I don't see too often now. But yes D3 completing 3 years, is worth giving a star onto everybody's shoulder who has been associated with the show. Lots of love and respect to the cast and crew as well as all D3 fans! And according to me, the sky is the limit for team D3!
Taahir Shaikh (Initial Executive Producer of D3)- I am very very happy that Dil Dostii Dance has completed 3 years! Abhi bhi yakeen nahi ho raha hai ki teen saal beet gaye aur hamara show ab top spot pe hai! Par of course bahut khushi ho rahi hai. Even though I am not with Cinevistaas anymore, main kabhi bhi kisi ko aur Cinevistaas ko nahi bhool sakta! I am really missing my people, the set, my cabin and the computer room a lot! I am missing the very 1st day of shooting of D3, all the fun workshops, dance rehearsals, aur sab kuch! For me, D3 is not only a show but is life and will always be!
Sneha Kapoor (1st Sharon of D3)- Its a great feeling to have been part of such a successful show, and most of all, that its dance based and one of a kind! Its uniqueness makes it more special as dance is an integral part of all our lives. I would really like to thank all the fans who made me who I am today! Thanks to D3, people recognize and know me for my work. I would also like to congratulate of the D3 cast and crew who who have been working so hard right from the beginning! I feel proud that D3 has completed 3 years. It really is a great feeling, and I do miss everyone a lot. Finally, a big thank you once again to all the fans for so much love and support they have been showering D3 since the very beginning! Lots of love to all.
Vrinda Dawda (Taani of D3)- Well, I am extremely happy that Dil Dostii Dance has completed 3 years on air! It feels so lovely that the show has come such a long way and is doing great! I feel extremely happy and lucky that I was part of this show which is one of the best youth shows on air! A hearty congratulations to my entire D3 cast and crew who I really really miss! A big thank you to Palki Ma'am of course, who gave me the wonderful opportunity of being Taani, and who created the show and us all! If it wouldn't have been for her, there would be no D3! So yes she is the one who has made us all! And of course the D3 fans, aaah what do I say about them! I mean so much love, appreciation and support from the very beginning has been lovely! I love them all, as they have just always been there for us. Be it Taani, TaaRey, TaaYam, D3, they have just showered us with so much love always! So lots of love and a huge thank you to them all for everything!
Lavin Gothi (Shivam of D3)- Firstly, congratulations to the entire D3 team and to all the fans who have made this show so popular! I am really happy to have been part of such an awesome show which was a great experience! The entire D3 team has always been very warm, supportive and friendly, and working with them all was a lovely experience. I really miss all the fun we used to have in between shots as we are all of the same age and got along really well.Hope the show keeps growing this way and entertaining its audiences for many more years to come!
