Taani was sitting in her room, listening to "Don't Go" by Bring Me the Horizon.
I was raised in the valley

The song faded out with Lights's eerie voice and Taani sighed.
All of a sudden, the door burst open, slamming into the wall. Taani jumped off her bed and screamed...
"HOLY WAFFLE KING! ___________, YOU ARE AN AMAZING SINGER!!" Shouted Rey; jumping on her bed and clapping.
Rey was her next door neighbor and best friend since kindergarten.
She looked up at him.
"What the hell are you doing in my house?" she giggled. He jumped on her back and she squealed.
"Listening to you singing against your door," He said casually. She tried to walk, but Rey was too heavy and she plopped onto the ground.
"Can't Breathe... OH MY GRAVY!" she grunted.
Rey sat up and moved his butt all around her back.
"Squishy, eh?" He said. She coughed and laughed.
"REY!" she screamed and he immediately shot up off of her. Taani got up and looked around. Hmmm... hiding, is he?
"Oh REY, Come out, come out, wherever you are..." Taani chimed in a little girl voice... She tip-toed to her closet...
"TEEHEE" she heard. She flung the door open, but he wasn't there.
"What the..."
"RAAAH!" He grabbed her by the waist and picked her up.
"OMG OMG OMG OMG REY!!!" she screamed as he flew down the stairs with her up above his head. She looked down at him.
Damn he is strong! And look at those muscles... NO! Best friend. Best friend. Best friend. Best friends don't like best friends. Well, not like that anyway... Look at that face, though! NO!
As she was arguing with herself in her head, she got lost looking at him. Before she knew it, he was talking to her.
"What??" She asked, shaking her head back and forth. She was dizzy and still in the freaking air.
"I SAID say 'REY is the sexiest beast alive and shall forever be awesome than I' or I'mma drop you in the pool!" He laughed. She looked down and noticed they were by the pool in his back yard. She squirmed and screamed.
"NOOO! DON'T DROP ME IN!!! I'm not even in a bikini!" She said, trying to wriggle free.
"u've got underwear on, right?" He smirked. And for a moment, that beautiful face had her in a daze.
"Say it."
"Say what?"
"SAY IT!" He said, and he lifted her directly over the pool, facing him.
"NO!!!" She screamed, and clung onto his arm.
"Say it!!!" He laughed, shaking his arm.
"REY IS THE SEXIEST BEAST ALIVE AND SHALL FOREVER BE AWESOME THAN I!!!!" she said in a fast jumble of panic, clutching his shirt.
He grabbed her waist and pulled her up to the concrete.
"Thank you. You and your daydreams, _________" He laughed. She blushed bright pink and looked down.
"Yeah..."
"SO! Watcha wanna do today, __________?" He said, interrupting the awkward little silence.
Taani thought long and hard...
"Wal-Mart." She decided
"WHOOP!" He high-fived her and dragged to his car.
They were driving to Walmart when he got a text.
"Oh, crap. I gotta check that, it might be my mom." He said. His mom was currently in Kentucky, visiting her dad in the hospital.
Rey pulled out his phone and texted, with one hand on the steering wheel. He looked up and down, trying to focus on both.
"Rey! Are you crazy?! You'll get us killed!" Taani said, panicked. He was swerving everywhere!
"_________, I won't. I'm a skilled driver. And do you really think I would let anything hurt you?" He said his voice reassuring.
She sighed and looked out the window.
He was replying to the text when all of a sudden, he let go of the wheel. The car went into the opposite lane.
"REY! LOOK OUT!!" She screamed as a semi truck was coming straight towards them.
He immediately grabbed the wheel and tried to get back in the right lane.
The car slid sideways.
And the semi was coming straight towards her door.
Her life flashed before her eyes. She was going to die.
She had to say it.
She knew at that moment.
"Rey, I LOVE YOU!"
And then next thing she knows, everything in her world went black...
