In a real life situation it would be wrong, but in the episode the track has been created for kriya's reentry. If it had been Sharon who took the charge, kriya wouldn't have come as she was never that close to her, if Swayam took the lead there would have been a lot more kriyam and the ridiculous nonexistent kriya-Swayam-Sharon love triangle would have only gotten stronger. Hence rey takes the lead, though I'm hoping that now she's coming they all get importance
