awesome post...good reviews always inspire you write more...sometimes its really irritating to see that you write...senfd lot of pm's but you dont get reviews...😕😕 some it really makes writers feel y am i wasting my time on this...but ya ppl who give good reviews...they inspire you a lot...thanks for making such a post

As a reader I try to give proper comment with review but kabhi kabhi updates nhi samajh aate to one- liners likhti hu yaa phir somethings which I hesitate to comment on tab one liners deti hu comment mei

Me being a reader let me tell you what exactly happens...
You have very well said what a writers feels about reviews

I'm letting everyone know this is no way of bashing or absuing anyone but just my POV..
May differ from anyone over hear...

One thing thah has happened over this forum..
A lot of people have vanished over and only few have left among old ones..
We have new members over that is great too..
Now coming to readers point of view...
Writers are either friends,close friends or even an acquaintance whome you just know as a writer..

When it comes to friends or close friends you trend to give detailed review or even criticize as they know who you are and not take your comments badly... So criticizing about writing works there

Next comes to acquaintance whom we do not know much..You trend to keep your review short and simple so as to not hurt the writer...

Now when writers do not want short comments like awesome OS .Lovely OS. are you happy just with like cause that equally implies a person has read and liked your OS. So you get detailed reviews from your buddies..

Next barrier is the long delayed updates in work to be true when a reader reads many works he cannot remember the storyline of exactly what has happened in previous update as the update comes delayed after months or even a year in few cases..When one does not get storyline and just reads a update in order to encourage writer you end up with a short comment of Awesome Work or Lovely Update.


And when you are just in need of detailed review you do tend to loose readers cause not everyone has time to read and give detailed review to each writer and they start to select few writers whom they want to...

i m nt at all a writer.. i m simply a reader..

Deetha with you I understand when you keep updating something or other
Like I have told you you have improved far
But now when you update Baatcutter you cannot expect detailed review that would not be fair
Like seriously to remember the plot I myself would need to re read the story and see what is happening around...
To understand the story is what you have perceived and is your child..You can remember it for years but not readers.



And about your OS like I always tell you you cross your own limits each time so go on with it

Guys come on. Its not that we people don't appreciate for the readers. Most of us, usually do it. But I will put it this way that readers if don't remember the entire plot they can at least review with what's been served to them. I don't ask them to go re read a few previous chapters. Though there's no harm. And about the one's who give an update after hell long time -due to what ever reasons- they do give summary. At least. Then where's the problem.


And if its that difficult to review an update, still considered. Then what's the problem with a complete One Shots. Now don't tell me that they are hell tired to review a full-fledged OS as well.


If people are able to point out or criticise their friends then why not others. In fact with others, there's no chance of risking friendship or their relationship which they share with the writer. Its more like take it or leave it.


And isn't it that most of the writers actually mention about all kinda criticism welcomed? Then why this partial behaviour to one's your not friends with?

You write one story..
Readers read many...
There is a difference...

About OS I never told that giving one word is good but something is better than nothing at all.. I have myself come across many who are happy with one line comments.

And to be true..You post came out as rude one from a readers perspective..

And with long delayed write up...Reading from middle does not give the story out. One will not be able to give a detailed review when one does not get head and tail of it.

Friends can be criticized case they wont take it in wrong way...
With acquaintance what comes out is when you criticize it may also look like a black drop and writer stops writing that the reader does not want to do
