Hi, This is just a short Os about Taani. I feel like she should really take a stand now and I can see it these days. But this was just an idea that popped into my head. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After breaking down infront of Rey, Taani walked into St. Louis the next day determined to show everyone what she was worth. To show everyone that she didn't care what they said and that she deserved to be GS just as much as Rey did.
Taani put on a straight face and headed towards the rehearsal hall to see how D3's dance rehearsals were going but what she heard made her stop at the door.
Vicky: Honestly, Swayam, we're only tolerating her because she is your sister and Rey's girlfriend. If she wasn't we would have said so much to her by now. Control her and what does she know about dance? How is she going to judge our performance?
Rey: Vicky Calm down, Taani is just a little hyper these days.
Taani marched into the rehearsal hall, straight to Vicky's face.
Taani: If you have a problem with me, tell me. Don't go around telling others. But actually don't tell me because I don't care. Just be a good little dancer and keep dancing your troubles away okay?
Rey: Taani what are you saying? How can you say this stuff about your friends and brother?
Taani chuckled humourlessly
Taani: Friends? These people are my friends? Do you guys even know what it means to be a friend? A friend doesn't laugh at their friend. A friend doesn't say bad things about their friend behind their back. A friend tries to understand their friend? I honestly for a second thought that we were becoming friends but you all proved that we can never be friends just because I'm a non-dancer.
The gang (except for rey and swayam) looked down in guilt. They had never thought their words would affect Taani that much.
Taani: and as for bhai, he is only my brother by name.
Swayam looked up shocked and hurt
Swayam: What do you mean Taani? I thought we had a special relationship. You're my baby sister and I love you more than anything.
Taani: We did bhai, we used to but things have changed now. Last night, when I needed my brother the most, when I needed you to come comfort me, you passed the responsibility to Rey. You didn't even once try to ask me what was wrong, try to figure out why I was acting this way. No, you were too caught up in the whole dance team and Sharon. And bhai, I'm happy for you, I really am, I'm happy that you've found your passion and I'm happy you've found someone to love but I'm human too and I can't be ignored.
Swayam looked down, with tears gushing down his eyes. He had never thought about any of this. He had been so preoccupied with his own life; he had completely forgotten that there were other people that he loved as well.
Rey: But what was the problem with me coming? Didn't you want me to come?
Taani: There was no problem with you coming. I was happy but then I found out that bhai had sent you. You hadn't come on your own. You didn't bother to even call me. If bhai hadn't told you to come, you couldn't have cared less.
Rey: No Taani it's not like that. I love you, of course I was bothered.
Taani: Do you really love me Rey? Ask yourself that, if you really actually loved me, you wouldn't have stood here and let Vicky say all those things about me. You wouldn't have let everyone laugh at me yesterday. But now everything is clear. I know where I am in your lives and don't worry; I'll stay in that position.
Rey: What do you mean where you are? Ar-are you breaking up with me?
Taani walked up to Rey and gently hugged him
Taani: Sorry Rey, for the first time I have to do something for myself.
Taani turned around and started to walk away.
"Taani" Rey's voice was desperate, "please don't do this"
"The funny thing is, Rey, I'm not doing anything." Taani said before walking out, maybe forever. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
