*Prior Warning :: I don't write well.! *
They had just shifted into a new villa, sort of in the outskirts of the city. She was very particular about having it in the outskirts, she wanted some peace and quite. Moreover, she wanted to be able to have silence enough that she wouldn't have to keep her stereo player in full blare while dancing. And in the city you'd be lucky if you could hear your own voice, let alone the stereo.
"Swa..Swayam? Where are you? Swayam?" she shouted, her voice resounding in the whole room. "Coming" she heard a voice from the first floor of the house and heard footsteps leading downstairs. "Yes, what is it?" he asked finally appearing before her. "So, how is it?" she asked, excitement clearly dripping from every word. He took one good look around the room taking it all in, in one go. "It's good, but it's missing something" he said scratching his head. "Really? What?" she asked disappointed and racking her brains for any little thing that she'd missed to place. "Aha, wait a second" he said, after a few moments of thinking, running out of the room.
After a few seconds he returned with a big rectangular thing in his hand. Sharon followed him to where he was standing, to see him take a painting off the wall and place what was in his hand in it's place. A smile instantly spread across her face on seeing what it was.
He had taken out a framed picture of theirs from their marriage reception party, with him wearing a black tuxedo and her in a White gown. "How's it now?" he asked her, a huge grin across his face. "Perfect" she replied taking his hands in hers.
"Are you done with getting all the boxes upstairs?" she asked once both of them were done looking at the picture and smiling. "Sort of. Just one more box, but that ones for the outhouse in the backyard. It's got some gardening stuff of yours. And it's pretty heavy by the looks of it" he said. "Oh not much. It's just got a few ordinary garden tools, a rake, a lawn mower and few clay pots, that's all." she said and turned to him to see him flash a horrified expression at her. "That's all? Don't you think a few more things would gave fit into the box?" he asked sarcastically. "Oh shut up Swayam. You don't have to carry it upstairs or anything right? You can drag it along for all I care.! Come on, I'll help you." she said already walking towards where all the boxes were kept.
She stopped on hearing hysterical fits of laughter from behind her and turned around to see Swayam laughing uncontrollably and ultimately falling on to the couch clutching his abdomen. "Did your invisible friend just crack a joke or have you seriously lost it?" she asked sarcastically. "If you're the best helper I have, then I'd rather do it alone. Won't make much difference anyways." he said, once again breaking into fresh fits of laughter on seeing the enraged and partly disgusted look on Sharon's face. "What do you think Mr.Swayam Shekhawat? That I am not capable of moving a stupid box. Get your facts right smarty pants, cause this girl can get the box out and back in. Care to see?" she asked him in a challenging tone. Swayam took in a gulp of fresh air, he knew that if he asked her to then she'd definitely do it. Sharon being Sharon would never say no to a challenge. "Come on. We'll do it together." he said, heaving a sigh. "That's more like it" she said once again heading towards the box.
They pushed the box for about a whole minute until it finally started moving. They dragged it all through the house into the backyard and further into the outhouse. By the time they were done moving the box both of them were extremely tired. They looked like they'd just pulled an elephant, puffing and panting they made their way towards the lawn chairs set up there in the backyard.
Both of them sat down, luckily there was a bottle of water kept on the table lying in front of the chairs. Both Swayam and Sharon placed their hands on the bottle at the same time. "Me first" said Sharon. "No way, Let me get a drink and then you can have as much as you want" he said pulling the bottle towards him. "No fair. Swayam, can't you see I'm tired?!" Sharon whined pulling the bottle towards herself. "Me" "No, Me" "Me.!"..
They quarreled on for some more time, until a naughty plan flashed in Sharon mind. She started moving closer to him, with a completely innocent and seductive look plastered on her face. "Please Swayam.." she said giving him a look that left him staring at her, mesmerized. He loosened his grip on the bottle and Sharon, taking advantage of the situation, pulled the bottle away from him and moved back to her seat with a triumphant grin on her face.
It is then that Swayam realized what she was doing. He looked at her having her fill of water. Ooh, he wanted revenge. He looked around trying to make a plan for it. That is when he noticed a water hose lying there. He realized that the gardener had told him that he'd left the water hose lying there since he wasn't done watering the lawn when he remembered that he hadn't run a few errands that Sharon had told him to do the other day. The poor man knew better than to disobey Sharon's commands. Any fool would.!
Suddenly a devilish plan took form in Swayam's mind. Whilst, Sharon had just put the mouth of the bottle to her lips to get a good drink of H2O, when the same H2O came pouring over her from a different source though. She got up with a jerk started waving her hands before her in an attempt, a weak one that too, to stop the water from reaching her, but the gushing water, unlike the people around her, took no heed to her interests. "You should know better than to mess with me Mrs. Sharon Swayam Shekhawat" she heard a voice.
Oh, the urge to strangle him that suddenly took form in her mind was much more than just strong. But if Swayam knew a thing or two about Revenge, She knew enough to give classes on "V for Vendetta". Suddenly the water stopped gushing at her, the evil being had stopped it rather. And that exactly was the time for Sharon to strike.
But before Sharon could 'Strike' Swayam came close to her, dangerously close! Before she had time to react he pulled her towards her, her wet body, in the process, making his wet too. He held her tightly by the waist. He started inching closer to her. There was hardly any distances left between them. Sharon had given in, her eyelids were shut, it was like she was at his mercy. And given that she was Sharon, that happened very rarely, Very Very rarely. He was just about to place his lips on hers, when...
"Sahb apne Memsahb ko kahin dek..." the gardener trailed off mid sentence. Swayam and Sharon sprang apart like a cats would at the sight of water. "Main..woh..wahan...wahan jake..dekhke dekhke ata hun..." the poor man said, stuttering due to the state of shock that the current 'event' had left him in. You can't blame him, the sight he had seen wasn't really what a 50 year old man would expect to find when he returned after getting the groceries. He went away from there mumbling something under his breath.
Swayam and Sharon who were now standing a good 2 feet away, looked at each other. Swayam knew the look in Sharon's eyes when he saw it. Before Sharon could get her hands on him, he ran into the house, praying that he'd still be alive the next morning.
