Swayum&Sharon: Some Things Change & Some Don't

Nice post, Savage...Sharon saying sorry there was a surprise to me...lol...even more so the CONCERN with which she was practically jumping on Swayam trying to clean his shirt...LOL...if only she could have seen herself there in that moment...I guess after seeing her more often than not consistently spitting fire, today's moment seemed like a more telling one.

I do however feel that the track needs some movement now...the rest of the guys singing and dancing to Kolaveri di I can understand...their fights are more frivolous anyways...but why Swayam? And it doesn't show any scope of showing movement in their track either.

Just when things had begun to get dragged and slow, looks like sense we just got here! Hands down, I loathe the looks of jealousy on ANY face, and Sharon is no exception, only the other bits of tonight's episode reached out for real.

UMMM .. why the hate ? Isnt it .. natural to have the green monster rear his ugly head when u see ur significant other giving so much undue attention to .. a bomb like Nicole ? 😕 I mean Sharon IS an ordinary gurl isnt she ? She is allowed that moment of insecurity .. specially considering how Swayam's been shrugging off her presence nowadays ! If things were like they used to be, even I'd be annoyed at her for doubting Swayam's singular fidelity ... but this guy here .. its like Sharon's too insignicant for him , and there are greener pastures .. ! Or thats the impresson hez trying to give out ! 😳

So, Sharon walks into Swayum and he drops a tray full of drinks over his clothes. Right, how many of you expected Sharon to say 'she was sorry'? I did not know. 😳

Somehow I saw this coming .. Shez mellowed down ... shez changed for the better, and shez all the more attentive towards Swayam now .. more than EVER ! And what better than a sincere apology to get ur point across , ke :

"Hey , I am looking at you now. I see us. I am pliable. I am human. My metamorphosis, I owe it to u .. And as a corollary to the aforementioned, I am strong enuff to own up to my mistakes than run from them or cover up for them with a forced sneer here and a snarky one there . I see you, I hope u do too "

Change there, now isn't there? I appreciate the consistent expressions our dear actors deliver here, they are magnificent. And then we have the characters they play and this constant cold war between them. They are so conflicted on the inside, their faces scream so.

Sneha K. and Shantanu M. play SwaRon to the Tee. I admit I love SwaRon a tad bit too much .. and do over-analyse and all .. but sometimes I feel TanHa are secretly SwaRon fans too 😆.. That shud explain how they wear SwaRon like a second skin. YEAH Cuz u see .. em rare nano-seconds they share onscreen .. in the same frame .. I see a thousand diff emotions flitting across their faces ! So much to feel, so much to portray .. within a fraction of a second.

I have seen a butt load of shows , Hindi, Eng, Korean, Jap, Bengali, Urdu, Arabic .. but never have I seen anyone be as flawed as humanly possible , as perfect as reality wud allow .. and just BE the character ... without giving it away ke u are NOT Swayam and Sharon but SK and SM, two COMPLETELY diff. individuals ! To Sneha and Shantanu I just got one thing to say .. Take a bow, u two. TAKE a Friggin' bow ! 😳

However, certain attributes of em, they dun change, and no one expects that to happen. Like, it tugged at me for some reason, how Swayum went up to Sharon and gave her her notebook she dropped. It was so Swayum, told me that's him for us, he's not changing. He's mellow, he looks amusingly confused when others jump on Rey to cure his cramp and he acts the cupid who's on about winning back chicks like he's mastered the 'art'.

Oh right. THAT. 😳

I wouldn't be so naive as to see the vestiges of the old Swayam in that scene where hez returning her notebook. He has to keep up the facade of being the perfect gentleman, in front of all those ppl, now doesnt he ?

And even if it WAS the 'Majnu' Swayam making a guest appearance, it was all negated in that one moment when he yelled at the lady amidst so many ppl like an uncouth oaf. A well-bred gentleman NEVER gets vocal about his personal issues in public like that , and most definitely not by tackily channeling his frustration via underhanded sarcasm like "FYI .. blah blah blah"! All that says to me is Swayam is compensating for a very low self-esteem .. by raising his voice like that .. !

As for Sharon, she is possibly the most meaningful character on the show. However appealing Swayum is, being the most likable person on the show that he is, I dun expect him to be happening anywhere else on earth, he's just gonna be inside the TV. Sharon here, is every second gal's top, bottom and center - through and through. Therefore, she'd be jealous, she'd correct people's pronunciation, she'd hopelessly stare at her official enemy. But for a change, she'd actually help him wipe the stains of his clothes. 😳

And yes ... amazing as SWAYAM is .. or USED to be 😳.. that guy is right out of a Victorian era Novel. They dont make em like that anymore. Naah. Not that I dont like Swayam , but I find it hard to relate to him (Not that I should ever try to. XX chromosomes here.), so I just resign myself to detached admiration from afar.

SHARON, on the other hand .. its creepy at times, how much of myself I see in her ! 😳 Like having ur very own celebrity Doppleganger -___- Yeah F*L . That gurl .. she lives in what one would call .. Nondito Norok ..its a bengali phrase , which literally translated, word-to-word, means "Lauded Hell"...which is what her world is.. .a good many wud give away their right arm and half to be in her shoes...To em, shez the epitomization of success...Straight A's and Honour roll, Party animal, Diva and Ice-princess , able to turn up her nose at everything and anything, well, almost... That is what they seee...behind all the pretties, lies an altogether different world, the hell , lauded mistakenly, loaded with all the uglies, warts and all...

Behind the screen of Her Royal Nastiness, lies the gurl Sharon ...just another 18 year old gurl...with her fair share of hopes, dreams, and insecurities of failing thereoff...There's prolly a Sharon in every one of us ! And mind u .. NEVER .. never in my wildest dreams, did I expect to see a well-drafted character like Sharon on Indian TV, given that its littered with :

"Ji aap aaagaye ? "

"Bhagwaan ke liye mujhe chod do !!"

"Mai tumhare bache ki maa banne waali hoon !"

"Mujhe chod ke mat jaao !"

You get the point ! Sharon is prolly Indian television's way of apologizing to us for YEARS of torture like "Mai tumhare bache ki maa banne waali hoon " !

Your views? I dun mind the length of their scenes together, BTW. Cause they are still gonna make more sense than all other bits of the episode.

i also agree the most thought out character on the show is sharon but the cv's have messed her up but now they finally put her right and yeah i love swaron but sorry to say i have a diffferent favourtie but swaron are so natural
