I think it varies from situation to situation, for example if Swayam and Sharon were on the verge of being a couple and dancing together would make them realise that then I would say Swayam is wrong but for Swayam right now he thinks there is no use and infact he's trying to get over Sharon. And generally in such situation, you avoid the other person in order to forget.
