@history lover i didn't also vote here. i can't even digest alex being in india for 6 yrs.. alex remained in India only for 18 months& CGM was really a v.young. and acc. 2 history books & sum oder sources CGM bcame king at the age of 20yrs after disposing dhananand & dhananand went 2 the forests after getting defeated by CGM. i can still digest mrignayani ashis luv interest but not the mother of bindusara!!

but in Jain txts its mentioned that CGM faced alex & he became king at the age of 25 yrs.!!

and abt alex he cudn't'd remained in India bcoz his army & he himself was scared of great Maghadhan army which contains war elephants & so made an excuse of homesickness of his army!!and this info is even posted by sum1 here in this forum!!

i totally agree with u dear...makers don't need to get worried if audience is ready to watch true history...i watched a show on DD years ago...it was based on nawab siraj-ud- daula...and the makers executed the history very well there..they showed his first wife and second wife...they showed him as the way he was..a careless youth at initial stage...then he slowly realized his love for the country...how he become a patriot etc etc...i mean they never tried to show him as a superhero like cgm and chanakya are being shown..they sticked to reality...imagine has portrayed that somehow directly or indirectly chanakya was the reason of alex's death...i find it next to impossible...may be i m wrong coz i dont know whats going on in the show...but still by wu i came to know abt this... even historical characters were human beings...they have their own strength and weaknesses ...acc. to me alex and cgm never shared envy on personal grounds...but here they are showing alexander next to dhananand ..just because the show is based on cgm and he is the hero of the show...they have to show him bigger and better than anything...that too at the wrong time...coz acc to real history..when alex was in India...cgm was a teenager...he never had such a big army at that time...its after alex went back..cgm and chanakya made an army of well trained tribal people...and they also took porus's help to fight against dhannu...that's a different story anyway😉

Note: I mean no offense to any historical characters that i've mentioned...just shared my views coz i think exaggeration of anything more than required can be injurious😊

exactly my words. i couldn't put the points here due to some reasons but what ever u said is absolutely true. i have gone through many articles just to confirm how far is the story correct to the extent and i find many bloopers in the story. 😒

Alex wasn't there in India for long time. he wasn;t poisoned by chanakya. he returned just b'coz of his soldiers who started revolt. later he was dead due to malaria in babylon. (must confirm this by googling again) 😛

yes CG was a very young boy and there was no encounter of him with Alex. he joined the alex army to understand their stratagies of war and also abt the adminstration. he became a king at the age of 20yrs after he defeated Dhananand.

he was supported by porus and also some king from north don;t remember from where he is but he is named Parvataka or something like that he too almost supported CG till last but it seems he had a deal with them for 50:50 share in the kingdom and he is of bad deeds. his support was taken just b'coz he is very powerful enough to face Dhananand.

later his enemies killed him or something happened to him b'coz he became a traitor (didn't exactly remember the story of it) and he was very selfish. after his death amatya rakshas supported the king's son Malayketu but the later was very badly defeated in the war. all this happended after the defeat of D.

nothing much was found abt his perosnal life i.e married life but dhurdhara was his main queen and their son is bindusara. 😊

later selucus fought with him and was defeated by CG and in turn he (Selu) got his daughter married to CG. it is just before his death some years before. i think he died at a age of 42yrs or so.

still trying to find much information i can. i found a archive book of CG full text so must go a lot in it. 😊

but i also read that Selucus also got his daughter (i think it is helen: i may be wrong with her name) married to Chandragupta after he lost in the battle and also all the provinces he won to chandragupta as a dowry.

in turn Selucus was gifted with 500 elephants by CG and made a friendly agreement to this. didn't read the article fully in archive but while i was going through this is what i found in most.

must confirm this again for sure.
