In Ramayan, Sumitra - the mother of Lakshman & Shatrughan - was thought to have originally been a princess of Magadha! (Mithila is completely in Nepal, not N Bihar. As is Janakpuri.)
In Mahabharat, Jarasandha ruled Magadha, and his son Sahadev, fought & died on the Pandava side in the Kurukshetra war. His daughter, not granddaughter, married Pandava Sahadev: earlier 2 daughters were both widows of Kansa.
