Gandhara Buddha,Triad.
The cronies surrounding Aambhik would always think of pleasing the Kumar, by aligning themselves to Aambhik's thoughts.
' Hum hamare nagar mein hi dekh sakte hain, ki doosre Mahajanapadon se log kaise Takshila mein aashraya lene aa rahe hain.Ve Mahajanapada moorkh thhe, ki ve unhone Sikander ko chunauti di, aur apni hi prajaa ko sankat me Daal diya.Agar hum Sikander ke saath samjhauta karenge, apitu hamari praja toh iss sankat se bach jaayegi',they would often say.
Someone would chip in,' Yavana sena ki sahaayataa se hamari sena bahut shaktishali ho sakti hain.Hum paDosi Mahajanapadoh ko aapke saamne jhukaa sakte hain.'
Aambhik would nod his regal head in appreciation, and eye everyone with an air of conspiracy. He would often answer to such a suggestion by saying,' Woh theek hai, yeh hame pata hai.Par hum iss vishay par prasthaan kaise kare? Hame ek anubhavi mantri ki aavashyakta hogi.'
Mantri : 'Uski vyavastha ho jaayegi, Kumar.Hum avashya salaaha lenge.Aur aap uss Raja Puru se Gandhara ko kapaT se haraane ke liye, uchit pratishodh le sakte hain.'
Aambhik : Kya woh Yavana samraaT, Sikandar, hamare liye Kaikya par aakramaN karega?
Mantri : ( explaining his views ) Woh svayam ke liye, avashya Kaikya par aakramaN karega.Hamari sena YavaNoh ko sahayata karegi, aur uss Puru ko Mrutyu ke dwaar chhod degi.Kumar, yeh koi gupta vaarta nahi hai, ki Sikander Vishwa Vijay ke abhiyaan par hain.Usne Hindukush shikharon tak pahuch gaya hain, aur unn shikharon ko paar kar, woh Gandhara ki aur swayam ke kadam badaa raha hai.
Purva Aryavrata tak pahuchne ke liye, usse Gandhara, Kaikya, Malva, Kathgana, aur Shudram Mahajanapadoh se gujarnaa hoga.Sikander apna abhiyaan safhal banane ke liye, avashya Kaikya par aakramaN kar dega.Ek mitra Mahajanapada hone se, hum Sikander ko Kaikya par aakramaN karne ke liye, sahaayata kar sakte hain.Yavana avashya hamara prastaav svikaar karenge, kyonki iss kaaraNvarsh unki tuTiyaa bhi sarvataha kam ho jaayengi.Apitu unke sainikon ka bhi sarvakshan hoga.Yeh unkehi hita mein hoga.Tathaapi hum Yavana sena ke saath Puru ke saath yudhh ladh sakte hain.Mujhe iss vishay par koi sandeha nahi hain.'
Aambhik looked extremely pleased. He nodded his head in agreemet, at his crony; who was no fool after all.
A mantri tipped them on how to write and send a diplomatic message.Aambhik, happy in the way his plan was progressing, sent a messenger envoy to the Greek Emperor, Alexander; who was camping at a place beyond Pushkarvali, the capital of West Gandhar.
It was in the wee hours of night that the envoy of Aambhik reached the camp of Alexander. The camp, was brimming with incessant activity. Some Greek soldiers were resting, while some were keeping a watch. The camp flickered like a lamp, in the light of hundreds of torches. In the middle of the camp, was a huge pavilion, richly decorated and brightly lit.On its top fluttered the flag of Greece. It was apparent that it housed the mighty Greek emperor, Alexander.
The news that a messenger from one of the kingdoms of Aryavrata had arrived at his camp, made Alexander's eyes glow like amber. He was resting, but after being informed by a Greek soldier, that a messenger had arrived, he had got fully awake. The light of a nearby lamp, reflected his handsome features. His eyes, blue and deep, presented a pretty sight. His strong, handsome, and attractive features, combined with his muscular body, made him look imposing and stately. His smile gave the impression, of someone tactful and romantic in nature. At the young age of 24 years, he had conquered almost half of the world. His mind, though wished for more.
Putting away his drowsiness, Alexander allowed the messenger to enter. The messenger bowed his head, and presented the message, which was the key to Aambhik's plan.Alexander slowly and regally, started reading the message. His blue eyes, which had been sleepy a short while, twinkled with joy.He read the rest of the message with a cunning smile on his face, which bellied his emotions.
He read the last sentence and with a slight twitch, and a broad smile lit up his sharp, handsome features. He had yet won another kingdom, without a battle.Without risking the lives of his soldiers. And also he had got closer to his dream of conquering the world...
