It was two months since Nandini had joined the Matrix. She had almost settled in the city and the company as well. Nandini was very quick to make many friends. Every weekend Prapti, Radhika Shruthi and Nandini will go to shopping without fail. She really loved the city and its people .Initially Helen was very cold to Nandini. As days passed, Helen seems to digest Nandini's presence. Though its not a hate which we can see in her eyes for Nandini, She strongly don't like her presence , for reason unknown even to herself.All these days Nandini did not get chance to see Chandra until One fine morning,Chandra was seated in his office room. He was busily studying the files regarding his new project. Shukla ,his personal assistant came in the room.
Shukla : Good Morning sir
Chandra : Say good afternoon.Shukla..
Shukla : Sorry sir,I was held up in the traffic. These days traffic has become an nuisance in Delhi.
Chandra : Shukla ,this is not the excuse! Leave it! I don't want to get my mood spoiled today.
Shukla : I am so sorry sir.
Chandra: We have an appointment with the minister at 2 p.m. Have you made the necessary arrangements?
Shukla : I have made all the necessary arrangements.There will be no place for confusion
Chandra :Good ! If everything goes on well, Matrix will grab Yamunanagar project worth 5000 crores. It is an another milestone for Matrix. This project will create pools of job opportunities! youngsters will get more benefits from this project!
Shukla Matrix is very lucky to have you sir. We are enjoying the fruit of your tremendous hard work and dedication which can never go in vain sir.
Chandra No... Shukla.. I am just a tool. All the credits will go to Vishnu Sab. Had he not given me a chance to prove my talent,I will be nowhere near this seat.
Shukla : That is so humble of you, sir. Although He gave you the chance, it was you who used it in correctly.
Chandra : No Shukla. You are speaking out of affection for me! The matrix is Vishnu sir's dream child. Behind every brick and wall, I can see his enormous hard work and dedication. My contribution is nothing before his. You don't know about my childhood Shukla. I was born in a lower middle class and I lost my father at a tender age of 2. Since then my mother Morni took the entire burden of our family on her shoulders. She was not educated enough to get a decent job! My mother had to work as an ordinary sales woman in a textile shop in Chandini Chowk. We hardly had two meals in a day. I did my schooling at a government school. Somehow, I managed to finish my graduation.Thanks to Sarawathi Foundation,who paid my college expenses.Later ,I got selected in Matrix. When I joined here, it had just a handful of employees. Vishnu sab ,identified me and gave a chance to prove my mettle! what he did not do for me! he is a gem of a person.
Shukla : Sir you have come a long way.Don't mistake me,I am still in favor of you
(after few minutes)
Chandra Shukla !Did you bring the finance and audit report of the year 2015 with you?
Shukla Of course sir.
Shukla handed over the file to Chandrasekhar.He looked into the file. Chandrasekhar face expression indicated that it was not the correct file.Shukla understood that he bought the wrong file.
Shukla : Sorry sir...somehow it got miffed up! I will bring it immediately.
Chandra : Shukla! you do one thing. Please ask Mr Saravanan to bring that file.It will be helpful for me,because I have to ask him some doubts regarding this project.
Shukla : Sir,I am afraid. He has been deputed to Gurugaon campus to supervise the internal auditing . He will be back on next monday!
Chandra : Oh... Is it ( after few seconds) Sangeetha? Is she available?
Shukla : No sir.. Sangeetha is absent today. I think Miss Helen is available Can I Bring her now?
Chandra : No no ! Shukla ! this is not her expertise! moreover She must meet Mr Khuranna of Swan Telecoms today without fail. I want her to start preliminary talks regarding the merger.She is very good at bargaining! Let her proceed as per her schedule.. I don't want to confuse her at this hour..I want to talk to some one from the finance department. I want to discuss some points for the sake of clarification.
Shukla : Sure sir.
Chandra : You may go now.Shukla (pauses for few seconds) wait... I also want to go through the assets and liabilities report along with that file. Don't forget..its very important!
Shukla : Sir.. I will send them immediately.I am taking my leave now!
Chanda : Yes ,you may go now.
There was a total silence in the room.In a wall opposite to Chandra's chair there hung a Picture of Dhara .Chandra started to look at her and started to speak "Yamunanagar project is my dream .I wish that you are here to see my dream come true.! He heard a soft knock on the door.
Chandra(looks into photo) "Looks Like ,You have heard me Dhara"
"Yes Come in" he said aloud.
