I know the way this Mukhya Makarani track has been sketched is on very weak grounds. But there is a chance that this might turn out good enough like the Takshashila track. Shailu's eternal optimism you see!
The standard and period feel is missing. This cannot be justified in any way possible except as a cost cutting measure and lack of adequate research about the period.Moora and Dadi's fixation with Nandini love at first sight and blind unless of course there is a horoscope angle to this. Why was Durdhara not allowed to participate or why this discrimination regarding other queens? The simplest way to explain this is to tell Durdhara does not want to participate or tell since she is pregnant, it is not safe for her to keep doing these difficult tasks or sword fighting competition. And finally the truth remains that upbringing wise, Durdhara is not equal to Helena or Nandini. So even if blood matters or not, upbringing matters. When it comes to Helena the question of acceptance by the general public will always be there even though she is capable and efficient in all respects. Even more than blood, nationality matters. And moreover the purpose of this entire track is to bring out a few positive qualities in Nandini and make Chandra sit up and notice her.Why would they wreck it by saying the other queens are equally good or talented. CVs cannot handle such complications. The easiest way they will portray this is Nandini will win because she is the best. Finally if this track is an excuse for Moora and Dadi's Cupidgiri why would they boost up the other queens? The one who is in immediate danger of being evicted from Patliputra is Nandini and not Durdhara or Helena. We know what is running in Chandra and Nandini's mind, but these ladies do not. And the relationship which is in urgent need of saving is that of Chandini.
How are you feeling now Aunty ,im going to enjoy gaonwala scene it looks comical from the news going around and its no use in complaining,i had enough of it in ja
With this one, I totally agree Sandy...I knew there was a caste system... but a chaste system? Never heard of that one before 😕😲What a shtooopid mistake! My English teacher will skin me alive if she reads the passage.Rushing to correct...🤓I did a marathon watching of 7 episodes - and not even in 1 episode does Chandra do anything other than bedroom - hamam - bedroom - another hamam - terrace - bedroom - hamam! 😆There is a saying - 'Don't wish too much for something. You might end up getting too much of it.' I'll not wish hor Snankakshs hereon.Plumpy or not, wife-pujaari or not, Jalal was at least presented like an Emperor when not in presence of Jodha.Forget JA, even in other Ekta Kapoor serials, where the men are generally wallflowers - they at least put on a show of a busy day. They walk in with a suitcase, loosen their ties and plonk themselves on the sofa going 'Chaai'😆All this takes barely 10-20 seconds/episode to showcase and not a great deal of additional dent on their budget... and yet, such a difference to the actual 'feel' of the show!Very true. Here, CGM is busy placing takiya for wife so she can apply mehendi peacefully, wiping tears from the sketch so daadi can have a beautiful (??????) sketch, helping wife pack and unpack, applying uptan and having uptan applied, running to fetch doctor for daadi - all this in the past week alone. He is both a donkey ( carrying Nandini) and a doormat ( for all the reasons you mentioned and more).😉RT... did you have to be so dashing... such a good actor... look so fine as an Emperor? Look at what you're forcing me to put up with for your sake... 😆😕😡What did he have to look like a Greek God for? For being a page boy???A few scenes I liked in last 7 episodes1) When he brings that sketch of Suryagupt proving Nandini innocent ... and she nods back as a thank you when she is hugging Mura.2) When she gives him a book and says 'keep it... you liked the book' as she packs up her Samsonite (in Sri's words)3) When he listens to her in the terrace as she opens up about missing her dad4) When Nandini indicates where his name is hidden in her Mehendi to help him out.Though this entire Mehendi-searching for husband name doesn't ring like a Mauryan custom, the gesture itself was sweet...These were all very understated scenes... done quietly... no big words... perfect for the phase they are currently in... neither here nor there... no OTT drama...Little Silver Linings.😕

How much more subtle differences we have to understand ? Ekta only knows. 😉

I can recall an announcement being made most times when Shehenshah Jalal-ud-din Mohammaed arrived. I can recall maids scampering when he left, guards flanking his side.Plumpy or not, wife-pujaari or not, Jalal was at least presented like an Emperor when not in presence of Jodha.Forget JA, even in other Ekta Kapoor serials, where the men are generally wallflowers - they at least put on a show of a busy day.
