Shailaja,

You are fast becoming a positive menace to those of advanced years like yours truly. I have not laughed so much in a long time, with the result that I now have what feels like a stitch in my ribs, and it is all your fault!😉

It is hilarious, your Tales of the Round Table transposed to 4th century BC Bharat, especially the parts I have marked in blue. But why is it Sir Parvatak Arthurketu, and not Raja?

Aunty this is a fun post on how it would be if Arthurian Characters roamed CN land!

This whole story begins in the distant past, a time of political and social unrest in India. There was no leader worth the name at the helm of affairs, and those in power were absolutely corrupt and tyrannical. That was the time when a great leader rose to power.

He was a warrior sans pareil. He was Sir Parvatak Arthurketu. He established his mettle by catching the Javelin of Excalibur thrown with the velocity of light by Queen Gueneverelene and hitting the bulls eye with it. After that he married Gueneverelene, went about wandering the country side fighting battles to save the honor of Gueneverelene and getting saved by her with hair pin knives from VFX tigers.

He had several prominent knights who represented him. They were Madam Launcelotini, Sir Galahad Gupt, Don Quixoto Nand, etc Though all these knights represented him, they could not stand the sight of each other, leave alone sitting together amicably around a round table. Madam Launcelotini was Don Quixoto Nand's Daughter. Her mother was Lady of the Fake, Avantika.

He had a teacher and mentor who favored one of his knights Sir Galahad Gupt more than him. He was the magician Merlinakya. Sir Galahad Gupt to do him justice was so pure at heart that he was untouched by the feeling of love. There was only one lady in his life. And that was Bharath Mata on whose behalf he fought all his battles.

This story also has its share of antagonists like Lady Mooragan who hated his knight Don Quixoto Nand so much that she wanted to destroy him and those who supported him. What none of them knew was that Sir Galahad Gupt was the son of Lady Mooragan.

Sir Parvatak Arthurketu despite being happily married had some extra marital intentions towards Madam Launcelotini of which the said lady knight was perfectly unaware. Launcelotini was so anxious to prove herself as the best knight and decided to go and save Queen Gueneverelene when the latter was kidnapped by miscreants.

Sir Galahad Gupt also wanted to go and do the saving because it was his life's mission to save streeyon who were in distress, drop them off to their tents on horses, brush off lizards from their vastras, etc. All this was very good for the perfectly white halo round him and kept it permanently whitewashed. ( First prize!!)

But since he could not afford to go when Launcelotini was fighting, as for one he could never stand her face, two he could not afford to show her his face, he quietly waited till she was knocked off in the fight before he saved Queen Gueneverelene. So that was a short account on the adventure of the kidnapped queen.

Hope you liked this adventure! More still to follow after I see CN!

It was meant to make everyone laugh! Nothing serious! When I get to see ridiculous and farcical stuff on shows, either my strictures and commandments are out, or some such silly or ridiculous stuff comes from me. Let's see if CVs of CN give me such opportunities in future as well. I didn't begin my ridiculous story with Raja Parvatak Arthurketu because I wanted everyone to make instant connection with the Arthurian Legend. From the next story onwards I can simply slide off to Parvatak Arthurketu!

Very much.🤣
And today's adventure was equally comical with EnideTunTun seeing the Ghost of Galahad in the Paan Plate and the fury of Gueneverelene following the betrothal of Lancelotini and Arthurketu. Merlinakya's disguise was perfect.

So it means our CVs are taking the Arthurian Legends quite seriously! Tun Tun Enide and Ghost of Galahad on the Paan Plate must have been quite a sight! Will watch out for the episode today then! Still five or more hours to go!

On a serious note, Dhananand does not seem to me as simple as he seems now! I think he is made of the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde kind of stuff. Everything I have been seeing till now confirms it. He is actually too good to be true! I think his turnaround is going to be a very major twist the CVs will pull up on us.

He might be a good husband. Tun Tun is fat and unprincesslike. Dhan might have initially married her for money and political power. She might not be a princess actually but might have belonged to a very influential clan or family. She might have a number of good qualities as a person that might have made him like her.

For that matter even Nandini does not look and behave like a complete princess. A valid reason being she is only half-blue blood. I remember one of Tun Tun's conversations with Nandini where she tells that you ultimately start liking each other for what they are once you start staying together after marriage.

Thank you Shailaja,
I just wanted to know if I had heard about your mother.Thank you for the information.
Aunty.

I was born and brought up at Pondicherry. My mother was an auditioned AIR artiste at Pondicherry. Her name is Jyothirmayi. We are natives from Andhra Pradesh but shifted to Pondicherry as Dad got a government job in that place.

Mom came from a family of musicians. I am told that all the nine generations before her were also talented and acclaimed musicians. She used to give concerts at our place and also teach a number of students.

But she is not so well known outside our place. She was personally never very ambitious. I learnt vocal music for a number of years. Amma even wanted me to take up music as my profession. But somehow I did not want to make a profession out of music. I learnt for my pleasure. I sing for my pleasure! So that's it about my Amma and Me!

If from my Amma's side, we have generations of musicians, from Appa's side, we have generations and generations of hardcore academics, teachers, and professors. My Dad was one himself! I acquired my taste and love for literature from him.

Now I am neither in my Mom's nor Dad's profession! I am married and living in US doing something very different from what I grew up learning and seeing. But I guess that's life! Since I am a Telugu by birth who grew up in a Former French Tamil colony, I speak Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and a little of French as well, apart from English! That's why I see movies in many Indian languages! I have a fascination for historical fiction. So I never miss any TV series in that genre.

I think CVs are just exaggerating things. She is their idea of comic relief which has ended up being an idea of comic disbelief for us. It would be better if her character is toned down a bit. I would prefer if she is not shown at all. I wouldn't mind it or miss it. My problem again is not her personal appearance but the way her character has been etched. I would rather see Avantika! She is relevant to the story as well. Which mother remains absent for her daughter's engagement ceremony. The only reason I see for this absence is that her relationship with Padmanand has soured so much that she never accompanies him on diplomatic visits.

Padmanand might not have thought about the engagement at all while attending the coronation function of Malayketu. The Pavatak king must have cleverly brainwashed him during the visit to think seriously about this relationship. So perhaps, he didn't have time to consult Avantika or ask her to attend the function. It was like they went for the coronation and got the engagement done free; a nice discount offer sort of thing! My wild guess, if Avantika had to choose a life partner for Nandini, she would choose Chandra and not Malayketu. Even during Swayamvar, she was very impressed by his behavior and bravery. She even tries to drive some sense into this Nandini and see something of the world beyond what her father shows her.
