Shyamala,

Here is the extract from the TOI article about Rajat's horse..

"We auditioned over 300 horses at the last minute and then finally found a well-trained horse who managed to ace the sequence in one go. Rajat, of course had a good command over the horse and their silent chemistry really helped the scene come out beautifully," the source added.

So there is another chemistry also seen in the episode!😉

Roughly 6 hours, Anjali dear. One hour plus for rewatching the two episodes and taking notes of the lines I wanted to use, nearly 4 hours for typing and fine tuning the main post, and one hour for the second piece. See why I cannot do this daily?

Thank you very much, my darling girl. I am delighted that you enjoyed this one so much. And I loved your very mobile shapeshifter of a cat!👏

I had read that article on the horse, it was flagged somewhere at the side in the post page, and I checked it out.

Durdhara cannot be Nandini, my pet. She dies when Bindusara was born, and not even Ekta can change that. Let us see, and in any case, all that is a long way off!

Brilliant work Aunty 👏👏👏

What surprises me the most is your sheer hard work even though writing comes naturally to u...I mean the extra effort u put in to provide more information reg the topic👍🏼
Just curious to know how many hours of meticulous preparation had gone into this writing😃

Aunty, I seriously doubt whether Durdhara will be shown. TOI & other news article mentioned that Tanu Khan wud play the role of Durdhara. But here in the serial she is playing Helena😲
So back to same old question...Nandni is Durdhara?😆

Since u mentioned abt horse riding, lemme share this TOI news article published today!😃
300 horses auditioned & finally they found a perfect horse for Rajat 😆

You want elephant troops in Porus army...😲
Oh no Aunty, CGI mohan is enough, we dont want CGI Baloo ? That is precisely what I had remarked too. But the original Mohan was so good that I thought he was real.

My dear Shyamala,
I am sorry, I am unable to contribute much in this forum, especially to your threads as I used to do in JA rerun times.
I find them to be very serious discussions , and I am afraid I don't have any knowledge to contribute anything towards the history of Chandragupta, or towards the comparison of the serial with similar earlier ones..
I continue to watch the episodes from the You Tube, and the effect is not the same as watching on TV screen. If I am asked to comment on the episodes, my standard of review will not touch even that of Baby or Babloo!
By the way, I can't stand this Malayakethu any longer..
The combination of Malayakethu and his father is exactly the same as Maham and Adham Khan. The parent and the ladli son! Similar dialogues ..There Adham Khan's complaints about Jalal, and here about Chandragupta. Chetan Hansraj has not got over the Adham Khan spell, his modulation of dialogue, his facial expression , body language(?) everything is the same as was in JA. When I see him in CN, only Adham Khan's face comes to my mind..

Yours udear Aunty this time hes running behind princessed unlike in ja😆

Thank U for these wonderfully informative articles, Shyamala.😳
Your post- as usual- such a pleasure to dive into! 👏

I found the whole tiger episode quite jarring, as did everyone else. Otherwise, I found this Helena- Malayketu twist quite interesting. Would Helena get married to Chandra to spite both Nandini and Malay?😆 This lady is going to be such a headache for sure! I have a feeling Nandini's wedding would be fixed with Malayketu and Chandra would attack in the nick of time, when he knows about Nand's biggest kamzori.

Actually, how would that Kamzori information aid Chandra in the battle against Nand?
I was under the impression that he would massacre her family and then marry her...but it looks like he will marry the kamzori first and then plan his strategy?

Two things I didn't like much- 1. The actress playing Helena- she should have more screen presence.
2. Chandra covering his face and the whole bee fiasco.

The payal was still OK- I enjoyed the dichotomy here- this is the contrast I am enjoying between the leads.

Nandini intended it to be a service the 'Greek camp' soldier was made to do- (not sure if it was looking down on any soldier as such, since he was in the Greek attire) Chandra made it look like a chivalrous task...and fate has simply decided that was to be another 'rasam' they engaged in unconsciously... On the whole, pleasing to the romantic heart.😉😆 Otherwise, it looked very odd that a princess would allow a common man to even touch her! 😲

Will respond later, but just one point re: the mistaken kidnapping theory. It won't work, my dear Ankita. for it will instantly lead to Chandragupta being imprisoned or worse, and the whole plan will flop. It has to be Helena for she is CGM's master key to Alexander's rann neeti.

OK, I have risked a prediction, now let us see what happens.

The episodes we are getting now are mostly mixed bags. Neither excellent nor bad. The Chandrakya scenes always manage to save the day with their visionary zeal and right pitching! I wish the other scenes were half as well-written!

Helena suits Malayketu as far as chemistry is concerned. A perfect Ram Milayi Jodi! Characters match! Foolish Bravery vs Cowardice Match!
Possessiveness vs Roving Eye match! Age bar Match! How do the CVs think this lady matches my Chandra? Truly inexplicable!

I understood the rabbit bit after watching the episode. Helena as a character is definitely one to watch out for! Moreover how wonderful to have a Macedonian speak Shuddh Hindi in a perfectly intelligible manner! I can readily see the reason for it also.

She has been corresponding all this while with Malayketu who looks perfectly illiterate as far a understanding Letters written in Greek. He would look perplexed with the expression "All this looks Greek and Latin to me!" So the only option Helena must have had for continuing this love affair was learning to write in Devanagari Script and speaking a Shuddh version of Hindi. Otherwise all their love dates would have resembled like a date between two deaf, and dumb lovers!

I wish Nandini gets more layers than what I have seen till now! The Payal putting bit was highly implausible to begin with! I wish to see more than her arrogance, her cloying affection for Daddy dearest, and her playfulness and vivaciousness! I think it is time they explored more of her. She is certainly not going to endear herself either to Chandra or to the viewers doing what she is presently doing on the show.

Her behavior is not royal or princess-like by any standards. But I think that it is more due to the active interest taken by Nand in her upbringing. She is the right upbringing of a wrong common man-turned king! I am waiting for her to sport more of her royalty that comes from Avantika. Her father's is the most predominant influence on Nandini. Her mother rarely touches even the tip of the ice berg as far as she is concerned. So her royal behavior is never on view whenever we observe her behavior impartially.

The pregnant Bhabhi, what can I say? Looks like pregnant ladies always go on tours, pleasure trips, diplomatic visits to neighboring states, and coronation ceremonies, just before their due date in CN Land! Remember Moora! She too did the same!

You have perfectly explained Chandra's behavior in the Greek camp. Your version seems perfectly logical and I am perfectly inclined to go along with it unless the CVs introduce some new and outlandish twists!

The Helena and Nandini sword fight and subsequent friendship bodes no good for one poor boy, the star pupil of Chanakya, Chandra. It is a foreshadowing of what we can expect after the two unions, some fireworks and some genuine warmth and positive emotions.

Aunty what did you think about my previous posts where I expressed certain doubts regarding Dhananand. Do you think any sister of Chandra will make an entry? There was a fleeting mention of her and Chandra's maternal uncle in the initial episodes.

Regarding army, I think I heard right when Chanakya was mentioning that they indeed had an army of some sort to begin with. I hope he is not talking of his students at Taxilla. They would need something really concrete to begin with! An army of mercenaries at least!

If it is that, they would need funds to finance that army. Is Chandra going to go about like Robin Hood robbing the Magadh Royal treasury, or looting the officers, Sena Nayaks, and Ministers in Padmanand's cabinet, and from other kings in the nearby Janpads?

I fail to understand how Parvatak and Padmanand are chumming up with the Macedonians when they must be knowing that they are under threat after the fall of Porus! They seem to be completely blind and highly overconfident! Aunty thank you for posting that informative post on the Battle of Hydaspes! Loved reading your post!
