Akka - Pranams.

Splendid Post. Been terribly busy and hence rushed through FFs with Nandini & Gang etc.
Then turned to your post and read it fully for EP7.

Went back and caught up the nice scenes again. The way you have explained RT's reaction of the sword contest is brilliant. Would have missed the subtlety of the characterization, picturization and the tatparyam of that scnee if not for your commentary. It is a very powerful scene and RT simply rocked it.

And priceless intriguing look at the arresting last frame.

As someone pointed out, a playful young and impatient Princess and a grounded, gauging, warrior par excellence King is a fantabulous combo. I am looking forward.

Nandini will grow on me I think - Unlike Someone who I know ( that bhashaan's maasa, daadisa, bapusa and dogsa 😆 ), Nandini is temperamental , instinctive and playful.

Your other queries are all valid - Have not seen Apples from PataliPutra till now . 😆

Lux Fellow has grown a beard and looks a bit old but Avantika ?!!! Not even a silver hair - Totally unfair. 😆

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this episode post. Your episodes really attrack eyeballs for the serial. No questions. Production values are so bad Akka but what is surprising is RT stands out with a most sincere performance. Understated but very classy . Hope he will not b made to ham.

See you soon - Take care.

Aunty I forgot to answer your question about Chanakya being able to have sufficient resources and finances to pass off Chandra as a prince in my previous post. Couldn't Malayketu himself not have asked Chandra to take his place and win the challenge on his behalf? He knows how talented Chandra is and he might have chickened out at the last moment from the challenge after hearing how Dhananand is a redoubtable warrior. I don't think Chanakya 's permission matters greatly to a man like Malay when he is determined to do something. In today's episode it could have been shown that Chanakya actually permits him to go if he takes Chandra along with him to Magadh. There Malay might have seen Tun Tun Bhabhi and Padmanand together and assumed that she is Nandini. He also remembers Chandra telling him earlier how she is portly and obese. So he might have himself forced Chandra to play his role on his behalf and scooted from there. It neatly solves the finances problem.

Very clever and elaborate, with most of the loose ends tied up, my dear girl Almost as good as the alternative scenario you had cooked up for Nandini, which was really excellent and entirely doable.

This one, alas, is a non-starter. Chandragupta will not move a millimetre anywhere without his guru's specific consent. And what about the switch back after Chandra has won the contest? Padmanand would very likely kill Malayaketu, and Chandra as well!

In the event, nothing like this happens, as we saw tonight. Chandra pinches the invitation from Malayaketu's room when he is asleep and goes to Pataliputra as Malayaketu.

But I must say you have a very fertile brain, Shailaja. You are in the wrong profession; you have a positive flair for scriptwriting.

I have known by now that both my scenarios are non starters but there are ways in which one could get out of the sticky situations in each scenario. The second one would be easier. Malay thinks that Tun Tun is Nandini and so he wants to escape from the Swayamvar. But he wants to do so without giving any unpleasant or realistic explanations to Padmanand about his Beti.

He asks Chandra to masquerade in his place and just participate in the competitions. If Chandra finally doesn't win the Swayamvar, it will not cause any issues or complications to him or Chandra because the issue of switchback after winning the competitions will not even occur.

For the first scenario, Malay could just lie his way out telling Chandra had stolen his invite and he knew nothing of this matter and put the ball in Padmanand's court to take whatever decision he likes with this regard. If Chandra gets caught, what does it matter to Malay? At least he has saved his own skin from Padmanand. Thank you for that wonderful compliment. It means a lot to me!

I couldn't watch yesterday's episode.

Just watched today's episode.

I found Chandra Nandini pehli mulaqaat scene too OTT and filmy.

So there were total 15 contestants for the swayamvar. Why was Nandini convincing only 'Malayketu' to not participate in it?What difference would it make if one contestant is out when there are already 14 other contestants? Is there any specific reason for it or they just showed it only for Chandra and Nandini to meet?

One thing I am glad about is they are not going to drag the Nandini pretending to be a daasi part for a long time.Chandra will come to know that the daasi was actually Princess Nandini herself. It would have been surely nothing but a drag fest.

Rajat as usual is awesome.

Swetha is not a poor actress but I have problem with her dialogue delivery.I felt like she is talking more like a 21st century gal than a gal of those times.I don't know whether it's part of her character or not but she should do something about it.
