Prologue

Years past since king bindusara death, ashoke took the thrown. He was a good kind, a strong man at that. No one would dare to go against him, especially the other kingdom. People would be foolish enough to start a war , especially with ashok as the king.

Ashok was no longer a boy king, he was a hero, a fighter, but more importantly a man. As a man, he had many proposal from many diplomati, but he wasn't interested. While fighting one day, he became injured. A young girl saved him and heal him. That girl was non other than Devi. One day while ashok was ready to kill a man for attacking innocent people, Devi interfear. She told him it wasn't right killing people and that a king does not use his fist to fight a battle, but instead his brains.

That wasn't the only thing she taught him, she explain everything she learned from the temple especially from the monks, this grab ashok interest, but he soon let it go. Soon they fell in love and she gave birth to a boy. Ashok was so happy that he had a big celebration, welcoming his son. The people cheered for him, but not everyone was happy , especially ashok brother sushim.

His wife ahankara was long gone, she left him after he went crazy on her. She made sure she took their son, saying she wouldn't want him to influence their son, with his crazynes. Sushim hated the fact that ashok has everything he wanted, more importantly an heir that will take the thrown from him. Queen Helen suggest he kill the child that way ashok will get depress and vulnerable. F

Even though sushim hates asshok he wasn't that cruel as to kill a baby. He refuse the idea, which made Helena upset. She wanted ashok dead and if that many killing his child she will. It was like killing two bird with one stone, he just needed help from ashok other wife's who hate Devi.

What Helena didn't know is that another girl, as strong and clever will run her for her money. That girl is none other than the spunky fisherman girl, kaurwaki.

So back to the story, the attempt to kill ashok and his new born was futural because ashok was ones again victorious. This frustrated her and the other wives. Sushim decide s to start a war with kalinga. See kalinga was never going to start a war with ashok until suishm sent a letter in ashok name, this led the people to be worried.

The new king that ruled kalinga was searching for the lost princess, she ran away long ago after finding out her father was dead. When he saw her beauty for the first time, he was mesmerized. He wanted her for himself, that means he will do what ever it takes to make her his.

King Ahmed, was a ruthless king, he killed mothers,children and take all the money the people have, saying they should pray to him and the gods will answer. He was never a coward, he hated ashok, but he knew he wouldn't be able to fight him and win. He was hoping to avoid it, but he couldn't this time.

Few months past , and still there was no declaration of war, sushim command some soldiers to sneak inside Ahmed castle and kill some of the guards, he thought if my stupid brother wont do it i then i will make sure ahmed declares war.

Not long Ahmed did declare war, ashok was sent to go negotiate in kalinga with one of the diplomat. He wasn't aware of the war ahead. Devi said her good to him and round the tray for good luck, he thank her before leaving heading for kalinga .

Note: don't know the history, half of the stuff is fake. Its not suppose to go by history , just doing whatever

Well she's both, you know how she was searching for her father in the show, and in some history it says she's a princess I was going to combined both lol, and I can't tell you the detail, or it will ruin the story

Chapter 1

When ashok was on the boat he couldn't help but remember the girl he met, he would be an idiot to forget his first love kaurwaki. He still yarn for her, everyday. He went inside the boat remembering when he challenge one of the guys to give back kaurwaki necklace. He chuckle thinking about it. He was indeed innocent back then, if only the boy king would have realize how lost he would be without his dad.

Ashok saw a group of man making bets and challenging one another. He took a interest, his right hand men told him not to associate with them, but ashok shut him up. He took out some coins and walk towards the group, they all became quiet when they saw him. The air was cold and the silence was eating them. Ashok puts the money on the table smirking before saying , he would like to play.

The whole group happily chatted amongst one another. One of the man says OK. They walk to the deck, to see three buckets filled with water and a bell tied to the flag poll. Ashok smirk while thinking this was easy. The man explain saying the first one to hit the bell while carrying a bucket of water is the winner. The two man joke around. One of them said he could have made it more challenging.

The man ignore them and told them to go. As soon as they took a step, they suddenly start slipping. Ashok glares at the man who smiles, "I forgot to mention, the floor was slippery" he says, ashok tries again to get up, but he kept falling. He watch as the other man managed to get up and run to the bucket. The crowd cheered, but laugh at ashok struggle. Ashok watch as the man grab the bucket only to fall back. He realize their were five heavy stones inside.

Ashok took his sash from around his waist, and put it on the floor, then he put his foot on it and move. He moved until he reach the bucket, then grab it and puts it on his head. Ashok made his way to the flag struggling. The first men finally took ashok idea and put the sassh on the floor. Since he was fast he made it with ease. The second man was still trying to move the bucket, when he saw the first man next to him, he frown.

Ashok on the other hand made it to the flag, the crowd screaming his name. His right hand man, silently cheered, but compose himself when he realize what he was doing. Ashok rings the bell, and everyone ran up to him congratulating him. The first man walk to him making jokes about his strength. He told ashok once they reach kalinga he will show him, the best place to drink, since that's his homeland.

And he indeed drag ashok along, he took ashok to a bar, they saw a girl singing. She was indeed pretty, but ashok wasn't interested. The man drank his alcohol asking ashok to drink as well, but he says no. While drunk the man walk to the lady singing dancing with her, ashok right hand men asks him they should leave, and ashok agrees. While leaving he bump into a lady who asks him, if he's seen her husband.

Ashok told her no, but when she started describing him, he realize she was referring to the man on the boat. He told the guard tonhold on a second, while he direct the girl. Walking in he told her he was right there on the floor, sitting while dancing with the girl. The wife was angry, she called him a cheater before marching over to him. Ashom watch as she beat him and drag his ears. The man plead with her, and said he thought the girl was her, which made everyone laugh.

Ashok chuckle before walking outside. Suddenly he stops, hearing bangles. The sound of the bangle was familiar. He turn his head but saw no one, the guard told him to come along. He walk again, but stop when he saw a girl wearing a black attire running towards him. Her duppat covering her face, from being seen. She told him to move out the way, but he didn't. He was mesmerized by her body movement and pale skin.

The guard told ashok to move , waking him up from his daydream. The girl turn her head before running fast, ashok look behind her to see a bunch of horse running behind her. Everyone scream when they saw the horses. Behind the horse were group of soldiers, with weapons. The girl panicked cursing her luck, "oh god, if I get out of here I promise not to steal again" she says

She pass right by ashok, making her dupatt hit his face. The silk caress his face before falling. The guard walk to a quiet place before telling him they should be fine here for the meantime. He turn to see ashok gone, this surprise him. He search for ashok, but he was know where to be found.

Meanwhile, ashok managed to find a short cut, with his acrobat skills he was able to get ahead of the three. He waited until he saw the girl before grabbing her hand, surprising her, and hide in an alley. Luckily it was dark so no one could see them. The girl on ashok chest, looks at him, with her dupatt half way down. Ashok could see her beautiful eyes and cute nose. He frown when he realize her lips were still covered.

The girl blush realizing how close they were, ashok on the other hand could feel her silky skin and unfortunetly boobs pressed on his chest. It wasn't helping his friend down there, and he was pretty sure she could feel it.

Chapter 2

The girl try to move away from ashok, but he was hell bent on staying in that position. She asks him to let go, but he couldn't hear her. He was to busy daydreaming. She told him again an when he wouldn't let go, she head butt him. Causing them both to rub there head. Ashok asks her if she was crazy, and the girl says yes, that's why he should stay away from her.

Fixing herself, she started walking away. She search both her left before dashing away. Ashok ran after , " excuse me" he says, the girl ignores him, ashok again tries to get her attention, but she pretends he wasn't there. He was faster then her yes, but he was surprise at how fast she was at running. " hey tiger" he says making her finally turn her head. While running she didn't notice a rock in front of her.

She trip on it making her fall, holding her knees she wince in pain. Ashok asks if she was ok, and she glares at him, she quickly got up out of anger, making the pain worse before asking why he's bothering her. Ashok staid quiet, she observe him and realize the clothes he was wearing wasn't something a normal person would wear. Looking closer she also realize he had a sword, and a kalinga necklace that looks familiar.

He must be a kalinga soldier, I can't let him take me in, she thought. Ashok raise a brow wondering why she was staring at him like that, he asks her what's wrong, an she bluntly asks if he was a soldier for the king. He jokingly says yes, before he could say more, someone called his name, making him turn around. The girl hearing the voice, ran, ashok hearing a ching turn to see her leaving. He was going to go after her when his right hand man, came asking him where he disappear to.

Ashok smile before telling him he was ready to meet them. So after the meeting to negotiate. They were in peace again, this did not sit well with sushim, he wanted a war between the two countries. He had ask the guards to search for any weakness on the king so they can point fingers at ashok. The guy bows before exiting. Sushim bold his fist with anger, his mother told him ashok will die soon, not by our hands but by the king of kalinga, he will not spare him.

She told him how the king was searching for a women, if they find her and blame accidently say ashok had her all along, then we will surely get a war. Sushim, thought about it before hugging his mom, he told her she was a genius, and quickly thought of a plan to find her.

The next day, ashok decides to walk around to see how the people were doing. While walking he saw the man from the boat by a clothing store, his wife was lecturing him while smacking him. He chuckle, he turn to look around when he saw the man running to him. The man plead to ashok to save him, so ashok told him to hide behind a cart. He told The man not to step out until he said so. While he was doing that ashok walk to the lady who was searching for her husband, he told her he was over there and then walk away while whistling.

He could hear the man yelling, while cursing his name. Ashok pretends that he didn't hear him. He walk around until he got hungry. Looking around he found a small area to eat, he payed and thank the women before sitting. Suddenly ashok heard the Ching again, he turn searching for her. He was surprise to see her talking to some young men, they jokingly told her her brother was in the house behind them.

She thank thank them, and walk to the house. Ashok overheard the guy telling his friends to be on guard, and don't allow anyone to come in. They smile at one another before walking away. Ashok knew what they were planning to do, so he told them not to do it. They joke around with him telling him to mind his business, this irked ashok. He says he will give them three chances to leave, if they don't they will get punished.

The guy laugh before his group attack ashok, ashok told them he warned them, but now they won't leave unpunished. He punch one of the guys and kick the other, fighting like a pro. He upper punch the other guy and duck when the leader tried to strike him with a stick. Ashok finishing the fight, told them he warned them, but they wouldn't listen. One of the guy was still moving so he told the guy to warn his other Conrad's that the girl was his if anyone touch her, they will be hanged by samrat ashok.

The man eyes opened wide before wimping. Ashok pat his back and walk to the house. The girl looking around was upset, her brother was no where insight. She realize that they trick him, upset she says to herself that she will give them a piece of her mind. While stepping out the house, she almost bump into ashok "you" she says before asking him what he was doing here. Ashok told her he was walking around , she didn't by it.

She accuse him of following her, and then thought the king must have commend him to find her and kill her like he did to her dad. The girl thought about it before closing the door in his face. Ashok surprise, knock asking her to open, he was a little to aggressive with his knock, this made her panick. She search around thinking I have to get out of Here before looking for a window. When she found it she tries to leave, but stop when she saw ashok. Oh god what am I going to do she says.

Ashok told her to jump and he will catch her, but she told him she rather fall. She close the window thinking how did he get there before turning her back to him.

Chapter 3

Its been three hours and ashok was still by the window. He was singing a song describing her beauty, some people though t he was crazy, he rub the back of his head out of embarrassment. Before calling her by a nickname " Hey Tiga!!" " you listening?!"

When he didn't get word from her, he sigh before he got an idea. He grab a rock and started throwing it, hoping that she will open. The girl was getting annoyed, she open the window to give him a price of her mind, when one of the rock hit her head. Ashok laughs nervously, but the girl glared at him, she told him doesn't he have anything better to do than following a girl.

" no" he says

" unbelievable, he can't possibly be a soldier, I mean he's so" she says observing him from head to toe. " will you come out" he says

" I will when your gone"

"Fine" he says walking away

The girl was surprise to see him actually leaving, she sigh with relief, maybe now I can continue my search for ayan, she thought. What the girl didn't know is that, ashok never gives up, what ashok wants he gets. He wasn't spoiled, but he was a hard worker. A stubborn one at that.

Ashok walk to a group of people with a sad face, before telling people that he needs help, the people asks him what he needs help with, and he points to the house the girl was in. He told them that his very sick wife was trapped inside that house. He tried to open it but it wouldn't.

The people falling for his acting skills , head to the house . they slam the door until it was open. When the door open, they search for the girl only to see her about to jump of the window. The people quickly grab her, she struggle while asking them what they were doing, and to leave her. " your husband is very worried about you" one of the lady said

" husband" she mumbles

The people took her to ashok, once they reach, they sat her down. Ashok pretending to be worried , ran to her while saying my poor sick wife, I'm glad your OK"

" what are you saying, I'm not your wife" she says making the people mumble, ashok look at the people before saying she's so sick that she thinks she's single.

"Poor girl" one man said

An old man walk towards them before saying " you are a good husband taking care of your sick wife, may the gods bless you" he says

Another lady grab the girl hand saying " you take care of yourself beta" ashok was trying hard not to laugh, he look at the girl who was ready to kill someone, ashok told the people that they will leave now. They said their good byes before they were gone. Once ashok was far, the girl let go of his hand, holding her knife, " what is your problem, huh"

" what problem, I have no problem" he says

The girl held her knife before striking, she was angry at ashok for embarrassing her, and wasting her time. Ashok dodge some of the attack, when she strikes again, he grab her hand and twist it. He came closer to her ears before whispering she was fiesty like a tiger, and he likes that.

The girl remove herself from behind him and flip him over. Making ashok Fall on the ground. She sat on top of him and put her knife on his neck. " who are you?" She says

Ashok not even scared says " ashok"

" are you one of king Ahmad soldiers?" She says

Ashok was about to ask her where she get that from but he decides to tease her instead " and if I was , what would you do" the girl put the knife closer to ashok neck, drawing small blood " than I will kill you" she says

Ashok hearing this laugh, this anger the girl. He grab her shoulder and roll her, this time he was on top, " how can you kill someone who has no will to die" he says this time putting her duppat down, letting it show a little bit more of her face. " you are very mysterious, are you royalty or a fisherman's daughter?" He asks

The girl hesitate before telling him, it was none of his business. Ashok watch her a little while before getting of her. He tried helping her up, but she brushed his hand saying she needs no help from a murderer. If only she knew how half true that was.
