Ok, I'm a little intrigued about something.
I see that Ahankara has become the toast of the forum, so also the actor Tunisha.
So what did Ahankara do other than bitterly cry in every episode and slowly fall in love with Askok?
She was pretty awful while she was with Sushim. i don't think anyone found her gold standard at the time.
Then Sushim's torture began and she silently cried and bore it. Her mother turned up and she again cried having lost her freedom and not being able to prevent her forced betrothal to Sushim.
Her mother died and she cried some more. She cried even more as Sushim cranked up the torture; each time Ashok ran to her rescue and each time he also got into trouble because of her.
Let's face it. Most of Ashok's troubles were because of her. And he almost died because of her. At no stage did she act boldly or stand up for him not fearing the consequences. Her brother was the ostensible reason but surely her brother wouldn't have been safer with Ashok gone.
She turned the water taps on when Ashok was sentenced to death for something she had done. And did nothing except to plead with him to tell the truth. Why did she not run and physically stop the hanging? Why did she not cry out that she will not stand for an innocent to die because of her? Why did she not say if Ashok is hanged she will hang too?
Sorry Ahankara was a weakling. Because of whom we were tortured for two months. The cruelties of Prabhari Raja were due to Ashok's supposed liaison with her.
In the end that turned out to be tai tai phis! What was all the drama about, what was all the tenderness between Ashok and Ahank about?. And what was all the unending torture to us about if Ahankara was only to disappear for ever?
Did she add anything to the story, except put us through excruciating torture?
Yes Ahankara was beautiful and classy and carried herself with grace and dignity. She dressed regally too.
She also had a certain chemistry with Ashok. In the end all that went up in smoke.
We were subjected to Ashlara and and the machinations of CC by turn and we lost interest in the story.
The budding non-romance pushed back the real story by two months, the TRPS crashed and Ahankara vanished .
Well the girl acted well even it was mostly to shed tears. And one did feel bad that her character was so unceremoniously packed up.
But I wasn't unhappy about the end of Ashkara which was honestly a distraction when we were dying to sink our teeth into some real meat. Besides I'm no fan of teen romance.
And now just when Ashok's journey to Samrat Ashok has started, enters Karuwahi, a baby girl , precocious beyond her years and not even quarter as good as Ahankara who at least had a great screen presence and knew how to emote.
Can't we ever get Ashok's story without soapy distractions?
PS: Can anyone tell me which of Ashok's wives entered his life first and at what age? Was it in baby stage?
