Babur: You got a good point there. Ujjain left a whole lot of questions unanswered. Not least of all the issue of rulership. Who da eff us running that place now? Or is it in a state of anarchy? What are Ahankara's opinions regarding independence of her country? All these issues were smoothly glossed over with.

As for Taxila, I don't have an objection with the time frame. Ashok became the Governor of Ujjain and suppressed the rebellion at Taxila when he had been in his late teens, I think. Now the handling of the track, the Ekta-esque dramatic 'taken for dead and found later'... Er, no comments on that.

On Ahankara, she was not particularly weak, but lacked the conviction to stand up for herself. Why she never tried to tell Dharma that Sushim was trying to kill her brother, is beyond me. That alone would've opened Bindusar's eyes to the reality of the SushKara relationship.
