Why do viewers watch anything - after a hard day of work/studies whatever? Cos they want to be educated, entertained - feel positive - feel good. Do Ashoka CVs know this simple truth or even care!

Ashoka is failing big time for me. What is with CVs of historical serials? Why are they so obsessed with negativity? Why do they always want to show that sickness manipulations viciousness always wins and goodness fails? Ashoka currently has young Ashoka and many children might be watching. Is this the message they want to send? That hard work has no meaning, lies, cheating is the way to win?

Negativity & obsession with vamp destroyed JA - (a disclaimer I am not comparing the 2 serials just want to point out the negativity in both) the story of Akbar's and Jodha's life should be one of positivity of triumph but JA CVs sick negativity destroyed it.

Ashoka is going on the same path. I am SICK SICK SICK of watching Sushim cheat lie murder his way to glory & everybody praising & his hogging screen space (nothing against the actor playing the role - I frankly don't know who he is and don't care!) but I did not sign up to watch Ashoka to instead get Sushim Indrajit Ahankara! 😡 Every one of these characters make me feel disgusted.

Ashoka the Great - Akbar the Great - CVs are destroying their positive triumphant lives with their NR and obsession for vamps & villains.

Not even for watching Sid I want to watch this negativity.

Watching historical - one either expects authenticity or depiction of their triumphant lives. Ashoka was NEVER apart from his father, Bindusaar unaware of him - ENOUGH with the NR.

Ashoka is produced on such lavish scale no cost spared for grand sets, costumes, actors - PITY the PH would not spend for better writers! Wonder if they want to cause misery to viewers or entertain them.

Almost on the verge of giving up Ashoka - what a waste of all that money & TRPs if at the end of 1/2 hour viewing all viewers feel is negative and dejected.

Exactly! It just seems like these CVs have even given up the pretense of bothering about what kind of message they send. If this was true then atleast we can understand. Nothing of the sort, Bindusaar always knew of Ashoka - then why this sick NR.

Do they even care if children are watching? Why have the farce of the competition then? Seeing promo it is clear Ashoka fails in his attempt to bring this up in darbar.

I simply do not want to watch something that makes me feel bad dejected after watching. Do the CVs think they are making soap or historical on the life or a great man? Somehow historicals always are too negative what an irony when the lives they are based on were great triumphant men!

They only want to show either totally black or totally white characters - no grays!
I liked the Ashoka who got Sushim thrashed than this helpless one.

What a farce of competition! Why spout the stuff like physical strength mental capabilities etc. Every horrible thing Sushim did conveniently nobody watched that! They just turned entire last one month episodes into total waste with the ending.

Why show a cheater liar even a child murderer win and glorify that! Sushim is hogging more screen space than Ashoka, now do we get to watch a sadist & arrogant couple's love story!

A very good post...I simply don't understand why CV's are so obsessed with negativity. ...cas is full of negative characters n they r given too much of importance. ...

reg the competition it was unnecessary to show sushim as the winner. ..they really don't care about the msg which comes across. ...

on a different note may be this situation will become a catalyst in ashok's change of behaviour. ..wen he will see that even after telling the truth nothing constructive happens he wl change. ..he might think that all his mother's teachings reg ahimsa compassion etc are nothing but deterrents...he wl metamorphose into the ruthless warrior he was known as...

but coming to the competition yes they shouldn't hv shown sushim winning with all his lies n deceit. ...they could hv taken a dif approach to show ashok's transformation. ...

n when ashoka comes to know that bindusar is his dad...he is going to hate his guts...n bindu will then understand what hatred is actually about. ...

This show is spreading a wrong message that cheating is the only way to win and those who follows the path of humanity and honesty they're the ultimate fools ,this is really dangerous for the society.👎🏼
Anyway I'm not going to watch this show anymore bcz I started watching CAS for Ashoka but now its clear that the real hero of CAS is not Ashok but Sushim..😡

Thanks. It is painful to watch the negative turn Ashoka is taking. I guess one thing in common with all historical serials is the writers obsession for vamps and villains! 😡🤢 It doesn't matter how foolish the leads start to look! Dharma has become this unrealistic character and Chanakya is getting sidelined.

I agree Sid is the best part about Ashoka.. Still can't watch just for him if it continues like this.

I agree. I would stop watching it if they don't do something and declare Ashok as winner.
