The episode begins with Guru saying that Sushim has done well by beating the beast and that the future lies in good hands. Bindusara praises Sushim as well. Charumitra says that she will treat Sushim's wounds. As she is leading him away, she asks Sushim in a whisper what all this is and he says I have to find out. Ashok and Balgovind smirk knowingly.
In the stable, Balgovind thanks Ashok for increasing his confidence. Ashok smiles, then in tension he goes from there.
Chanakya Acharya and Radhugupt are in the Mahal. Acharya says he doesn't believe that Sushim actually beat the beast and there is something else going on. Ashok comes there and tells Acharya that he has come here to say he won't leave until he catches the beast. Acharya says that Sushim has already made the beast run away so how long will you stay here. Ashok says until he doesn't catch the beast. Then he leaves. Acharya says that Magdha's future is coming soon. Helena hears and says that I have understood your game and that you are repeating the past by bringing another kid here to snatch the throne from Bindusara. Acharya simply smiles and asks for proof. He adds that even I felt that you and Justine had attacked Bindusara many years back and then spread the news that he's dead so you could make Justine king, but I have no proof. He adds that only the person with proof and will work with their mind will win this war and you know it as well because you set the rules for this game. He finishes by saying that he will win this war and with a smile leaves from there. Helena looks after him in anger.
In Helena's room, Justine asks Helena what was the need to talk to Acharya about Ashok and now he'll be more careful. Helena says that this was my plan because now Acharya will only concentrate on Ashok's safety. She writes something down and gives it to Justine who is shocked. Then she gives it to Guru and tells him to send it to her father.
At night, a soldier takes Gul, Bindusara's horse, from the stable. A dasi sees, but the soldier tells him to do what he's told.
In Sushim's room, his friends praise him for beating the beast, but ask him why he let the beast run away. Sushim tells them to leave. One asks to see the place where Sushim beat the beast before leaving. Sushim recalls how he was beaten by some kids and gets angry. Charumitra comes there. Sushim tells her that he has to find those who beat him and he will kill them. Charumitra tells him not in this state. Sushim thinks about Ashok, but doesn't think Ashok has that courage.
In the stable the next day, Sushim comes to Ashok and says he knows what Ashok did yesterday. Ashok chuckles and says that he did many things yesterday and which one does Sushim know about. Sushim taunts him saying he would have accepted what he had done if he was from a decent family. Ashok gets angry, but remembers his promise to Dharma and doesn't raise his hand. Sushim demands who beat him from Balgovind. Ashok reveals that it was him alone even as Bolgovind motions for him to stop. But Ashok goes on and says it was him. Sushim gets angry, brings out his hunter, and calls him a fool. Ashok taunts him asking him what he will do and Sushim says he will tell Bindusara. Ashok reminds him about the lie he said yesterday and that he'll fall from Bindusara's eyes if he tells the truth now. Sushim gets angry and throwing Ashok to the ground starts beating him with the hunter.
A soldier goes to Mahamantri and tells him about Sushim beating Ashok. He comes out to the stable and stops Sushim saying that if Bindusara finds out then he will not like it. He tells soldiers to take Ashok to get treated. Sushim gets angry at Mahamantri for stopping him. Mahamantri tells Sushim that he should tell Bindusara and get justice that way. Sushim looks at the soldier who brought Mahamantri and says the one who speaks against me is my enemy.
Ashok is brought to Dharma who is shocked to see her state. She is in tears and Balgovind tells her that Sushim did this. Meanwhile, Radhagupt tells Acharya about Ashok's injuries.
Sushim is leaving the stable when Bindusara comes there. Sushim does an act of cleaning Gul and Bindusara demands for an answer. Sushim lies and says that Ashok made the horse more dirty instead of cleaning it and insulted him saying that Bindusara won't believe him and that he isn't scared of Bindusara. Bindusara gets angry.
Ashok is in pain. Dharma is crying while treating his wounds. Ashoks smiles and says you should be proud that I followed your promise and didn't hit him. Dharma smiles and kisses his forehead, which makes Ashok smile again. Ashok says that as much as he wants to leave, he just can't because he wants to do something. He says that Bindusara is really nice, but his sons are egoistic and Magdha will go in the wrong hands. Dharma smiles.
Charumitra recalls Noor's taunts that Siamak has never done anything wrong, but the same can't be said about Sushim. She makes something and says that I will torture you just like you have destroyed my life and snatched Bindusara from me. I won't let anyone snatch the throne from my son.
Noor calls for her dasi Sitara and Charumitra's dasi comes there and offers to serve Noor as Sitara is sick. She praises Noor saying that the dasis can make guesses on who the next Samrat will be and that will be your son, Siamak. Noor smiles and hands her comb to the dasi. The dasi starts combing her hair and remembers in flashback how Charumitra told her to bring even one piece of hair from Noor. She stealthily gets Noor's hair.
A soldier comes to Bindusara and tells him that Ashok is an abusive child and he misbehaves with Sushim even. Bindusara says I will punish Ashok. Dharma tells Bindusara to hear Ashok's side too. Bindusara blames Ashok's parents, family background, and upbringing for his bad manners, but Dharma says he can't make such decisions without meeting them. Dharma tells him to hear Ashok's side as well and then punish him if he feels Ashok is wrong. Bindusara leaves.
In the court, Mahamantri says that Ashok speaks ill words so he should be punished. Helena agrees and says since Ashok has come problems keep coming up. Charumitra agrees and says he should be punished. Noor butts in and says that we all know that Sushim is short-tempered and even tried to hurt Siamak in front of the entire court. Charumitra says her son would never do anything like that. Noor says that Ashok has always been proven innocent. Charumitra says this is not a personal war. Noor says that this is just to benefit Sushim and she should listen to everything with an impartial mind. Justine tells Noor not to cross the line. Noor looks at him in anger as Helena tells the 2 to stop fighting. Bindusara asks Ashok to speak and not to be afraid. Ashok, wrapped in a shawl, doesn't say anything. Bindusara says his silence says he is the culprit. At this time Acharya speaks in Ashok's favour saying his silence could have some reason. Mahamantri says when you have nothing to say only then do you remain silent, which proves he insulted Sushim. Acharya says that before you make your decision think about what Ashok, who stayed back simply to save other kids from the beast, would get from insulting Sushim and why he would do so. Mahamantri says that this means that Sushim is a liar. Acharya tells him that he is talking to Bindusara and by interrupting you're insulting Samrat. Bindusara agrees with Acharya but says that since Ashok is not saying anything it means he is a culprit and needs to be punished. Acharya says fine he needs to be punished, but what punishment. According to law a person who has already been punished cannot be punished again and then shows Ashok's back to Bindusara. Bindusara is hurt on seeing the wounds, while Sushim is tensed, Dharma cries, and the others are shocked. Acharya says that Sushim has already punished Ashok and more than is necessary. If justice needs to be done it needs to be done with Sushim, not Ashok. Ashok stands there silently as Bindusara continues to stare at the wounds in pain.
Precap: Bindusara says that Sushim's act is very embarrassing and he must ask Ashok for forgiveness and if he won't then I will. He tells Sushim to apologize a last time. Sushim fumes in anger. Later Helena tells her father that I want to send Ashok and Acharya far from Patliputra. Her father says that she can do that with the help of someone who hates Acharya as he was deceived by Acharya many years ago and now he will get a chance to defeat Acharya. The new entry is shown coming in.
