Isnt Dimpy a couple of years older than Dhruv? Then why are everyone pairing her up with Dhruv?

Besides till a little while ago when Pinky's dad brought Pinky's rishta for Dhruv, his dad flatly refused as Dhruv is good for nothing so how come just because he helped unite the family he is suddenly considering getting him married to Dimpy...and why is Avtar also excited for their rishta?

dhruv has failed 2 times in degree... so he is still in coll n dimpi is working... dhruv is few days elder to dimpy I guess...

n regarding dhruv father, his attitude towards dhruv changed after he united both the families... he is caring for dhruv after that... I think avtar still doesn't know that dhruv's father is planning dimpi to get married to dhruv...

exactly he calls her di and I think Megha once mentioned that he is a few days older than Ginny...dont know how the logistics are working in this show but hopefully someone like Megha or Rohit tell the family that they love each other and everyone agrees...dont want a big sacrifice mess in this show
