Chapter 2
After their classes are over Nivi and Divya head home. Of course as usual, Nivi was taunting Divya about her behavior around their friends. "Di why are you so mean to poor Kushal? You know that Roshni really likes Kushal, so at least be nice to him for her." Divya was getting tired of hearing the same old lecturing Nivi and groans. "Nivi, will you please shut up your lectures for one day. I am so tired of hearing this everyday. And I'm your "older" sister right? So should it not be me that should lecture you instead of the other way around?" Nivi could not wipe away the big grin on her face. "Di, you should really look at your face from the rear view mirror. You look just like a little child complaining to her mom." Divya stops the car and starts hitting Nivi. "What? This grown woman looks like a little child to you?" "Ouch'Dii!" Nivi was trying to get as far away from Divya that she could on her seat. "Wait. Lets reach home than we will see who the little child really is?" and Divya again begins to drive the car heading home. "Anyways, Di, I have one question?" Nivi said after a while breaking the silence between them. "You never quit do you?" Nivi shakes her head in no. "Fine what is it?" Nivi sits up straight. "Di, what happened to you this morning. Why were you in such a hurry to get to class?" Divya looks at Nivi, who was eagerly waiting for an answer. "What? No reason." Nivi was not convinced. "Are you sure Di?" "Yah" Nivi knew that she was not going to get the answer out of her Di so fast, but she knew that their was a BIG reason as to why her Di wanted to go to her class so quick.
As Nivi and Divya had just about reached home, they looked into their neighbors driveway and noticed that the movers were gone and their were no vehicles around. "hmm'maybe they are gone somewhere?" "Yah'probably'we will come with mom and dadi once they come back..." "hmmm." Nivi was really curious as to who could be their new neighbors. She loved meeting new people'but of course she would be shy around them at first.
Divya drove through the gate to their house and parked the car on the driveway. The girls got out and ran into their home. "DADI!!!" The girls would always meet their Dadi first when they would come home from college or just an outing. They loved their Dadi a lot'and of course she loved them a lot as well.
