Raaga quickly asked her, " Dadi, kal mera 6^th Birthday hai naa, toh sab log mujhe kuch naa kuch gift denge, agar main is tootate tare se apne liye ek gift maagoo toh kya ye mujhe woh gift dega?"

Kaveri replied affirmatively. Raaga closed her eyes and made a wish. When she opened her eyes, Kaveri asked what was the wish.

Raaga replied innocently," Dadi maine Maa ko wapas maaga hai tare se, aur agar woh wish puri karta hai toh kal mere birthday par mujhe meri Maa mil jayegi."

When kaveri heard Raga's wish, some lines appeared on her forehead, she was into dilemma, and she was speechless.

Next day everyone celebrated Raaga's birthday. When party got over, Kaveri calls Raaga to open her gifts, but Raaga was not in the rooms, she looked for Raaga everywhere. Then she went upstairs, Raaga was on the terrace.

Kaveri asked her," Raaga yaha kya kar rahi ho?"

Raaga replied enthusiastically, " Dadi tootate tare ka wait kar rahi hoo, jisse mujhe apna sabse pyaara gift mil jaye."

Kaveri said," Raaga tootata tara roz nahi dikhata beta, chalo neeche chalo hum tumhare baki gift dekhate hai naa."

Suddenly Raaga'eyes lost their charm. She replied, " Iska matlab muhe apna gift nahi milega, dadi aap jaao , mujhe nahi dekhane koi bhi gift." And again Raaga started staring at the sky.

Kaveri said to herself, " Nahi main apni bachchi ko udaas nahi dekh sakti , kam se kam aaj ke din toh bilkul nahi."

Kaveri quikly said to Raaga," Raaga , bhale hee tootata tara aaj nahi aayega, par tumne joh gift maaga tha woh toh usne de diya hai."

Raaga looked at kaveri having so many questions in her eyes. Kaveri asked Raaga to come with her and then she faced Raaga towards north and pointed her finger at a star which was the shiniest star among all the stars. Actually it was the "Pole Star".

Then Kaveri told Raaga, " Dekho Raaga, uss Taare ko dekh rahi ho, woh jo sabse tez roshani de raha hai, wahi toh tumhara gift hai, kyoki tumne wish ek tare se maagi thi , toh uska gift bhi toh tare jaisa he hoga, , sabse alag, roshani se bhara hua. Woh tara he tumhari Maa hai."

Raaga had a full faith in her dadi, so her innocent heart and budding mind accepted this. Raaga got back her smile , her eyes again were full of charm. Affectionately she started looking at that star.

Kaveri said to herself, " Mujhe nahi pata maine sahi kiya ya galat. Bus mere bachchi ke chehare par muskurahat wapas aa gayi mere liye yahi kaafi hai."

From that day, Raaga keeps talking to that Pole Star every night. Her faith gets strong in falling stars and pole star after this incident.

" Maaji, aap se milane koi aaya hai." Kaveri collects herself after listening to Nandu's voice.
