What’s with the thecha all the time.

Since last season all I’ve noticed judges going ga ga over thecha. As someone who’s lived in Maharashtra for about 15-17 years, I’ve never eaten thecha or seen it everywhere. Why’s it such a big deal on Masterchef?

Also, if a pinacolada isn’t unique how is serving thecha is pretty much every challenge unique?

There biaseness towards some things and one 'contestant' is very evident. What they fail to understand is that audience is the true boss and not some celebrity contestant or judge.

This Thecha obsession of Nikki is really getting too much. And the judges don’t even point that out and just laugh about it.

thecha is essentially a poor man's meal. Hotels won't be serving it(usually ).

Thecha is the green chilly chutney-ish thing but it's commonly eaten in region around Jalgaon/Khandesh.

Yesterday even Rajiv pointed it out. If you want to represent Maharashtra, there are so many other ways.

And judges responded saying its kinda Nikki’s signature dish.

They forgot Suvarna..she is the OG thecha queen of masterchef

I understand that thecha is not popular worldwide but uski har dish wohi hoga toh innovation kahan se hoga? Even piña colada , crumble, and many other sorts of dishes are being repeated every now and then in a different form… kuch aur bhi try karein yeh log? 🙃

Weird thing is she can’t even pronounce word ‘thecha’ properly in marathi accent and claims about having it since childhood and tells fake stories

Has anyone noticed her pronunciation??
