And Draupadi is a character who evokes extreme emotions - either people love her like we do here; or they hate her...there is no middle ground.
Unfortunately the haters outnumber the ones who love the character!!

Agreed. People either hate or love her...
And haters outnumber the lovers bcoz she is never portrayed correctly like she was in tge epic...
People only go by the basic beliefs regarding her as that would raise TRPs...
There r many subtle moments in the epic, which r not that popular but which bring out her true character...
Like i once read in a thread a citation regarding Draupadi, where she urges Yudisthir to fight for the welfare of the society...
But most people know that she wanted war only for herself... 🤢
But i had read a citation where she actually urges for war for the welfare of the society as it was shown by Star Plus' Mahabharat...So wat they showed was not completely wrong...Many such wrong ideas have been embedded deeply in the Indian psyche regarding her...for which she has so many haters...

Unless this misconception is cleared, the scenario wont change...

This is during her Swamvar after Arjun hits the target n all kings start attacking him...

Draupadi said,'My lord, i am so scared...what will happen now?'

Arjun said,'Do not worry my lady...i will protect u...if u stay with me, nothing will happen to u...I alone am enough to defeat these kings just like a tiger alone is enough for a herd of deer. Stay with me.'

Here, unlike the calm and passive Arjun that we have in KMG, in this version, Arjun actually gets aggressive when the kings start questioning whether he deserves to win Draupadi or not...
He gets really angry n aggressive at this... 😳
