Well my understanding of Arjun n Draupadi's relationship is this...
Firstly I am confused...I really wish that Arjun n Draupadi were the most passionate couple...
But I guess there is a difference between wat i wish n wat they really had between them...
I guess Arjun wanted to be with her until Kunti intervened n ruined everything.
He silently accepted everything for the sake of his family n drifted apart from Draupadi during exile n gradually found solace with Subhadra during exile...
When he came back, he already had 3 wives n 2 children n hence that passion which was there in his heart for Draupadi before exile had probably lessened by then...bcoz before exile Draupadi was the only woman in his life...
After exile, he had 3 more wives...
However they both continued living as a couple...
I guess Draupadi could not find the passion she felt with Arjun in other husbands...
Whereas Arjun had found solace with Subhadra, for the sake of his family.
But amidst everything he was aware that Draupadi loved him more than her other husbands...yet to keep his family united, he did not try to weaken her by reciprocating thst...
Hence he suppressed his true feelings in his heart n moved on with Subhadra...
Whereas Draupadi, understood his dilemna n continued being a dutiful wife to all 5 Pandavas, all the while loving Arjun more...
This is my interpretation of their relationship...
Yet i would say this...passion or no passion, they r still my favourite couple...
Tragic love stories are always more appealing than the ones which have happy ending.
I feel Arjun n Draupafi could have been a very passionate couple but it got ruined bcoz of destiny.
However, despite their physical separation, I feel they had a deep understanding between themselves...
They knew wat was right for each other n acted accordingly...
And that is y so much is written about them even today...
