Ever since news broke that Karan Johar and Rohit Shetty are joining hands to remake the classic Subhash Ghai super hit of 1989 - Ram Lakhan, there has beenhuge excitement on social media. While you guys voted in our poll and made Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh your favorite jodi to star in the remake, there is now talk that KJo's two favorite blue eyed boys -Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra might be close to getting the film. While the casting is still in progress, we are told that Ranveer won't be able to do it because of his prior commitment to Sanjay Bhansali for Bajirao Mastani and also given the fact that he's had a fall out with Johar over that film.

However, its not just the lead actors roles that has Karan in a fix, but also the very important role of the mother played by Rakhi in the original. Buzz is that there are three contenders for the role - Madhuri Dixit, Amrita Singh and Kirron Kher. It seems that Tabu too was approached, but she was aghast at the idea of playing mother to the likes of Varun and Sid.

Given the fact that all three names - Madhuri, Amrita and Kirron have worked with Dharma Productions and are close to Karan, the competition will be tight. What is also interesting is that will these ladies agree to play mother to younger actors like Varun, Sid or Arjun.

No one in their right senses would think of this...I can't believe KJo would think of something like this...😡

I can accept Mads playing mom to kids like she does in her maggi ads but playing mother to grown up actors is just NOT ACCEPTABLE...No no no...😡

I would rather have Mads never doing a film again...than taking up these motherly roles...completely disgusting idea...😡

It seems like a false article to me...but if this article turns out to be true...then whatever little faith I have left on KJo would vanish...whoever suggests this kind of roles to Mads is no friend of hers or her well-wisher...it would completely ruin her image & career...

Mads plz say a BIG NOOO to mommy roles to grown up actors...can't accept this at all...

On September 17, Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood, Boman Irani and Vivan Shah begin their Happy New Year (HNY) 'Slam' tour.

Interestingly, Madhuri Dixit joins the HNY world tour especially on request from Shah Rukh Khan though she is no part of the HNY cast.

A member of the HNY team spills the beans, "Shah Rukh was keen to broaden the entertainment base for our performances across the US from September 17. We first go to Houston, then New Jersey, Washington DC, Chicago and finally San Jose. Since Madhuri has a fan base in the US, Shah Rukh suggested we should have her as part of the entourage."

When pressed to reveal how much Ms Dixit had charged the team member quipped, "She didn't come cheap, I can tell you that."

Apparently, Deepika Padukone who plays a dancer in Happy New Year would be performing some of her stuff from the film on stage while Madhuri Dixit would be performing her numbers from Dil To Paagal Hai and Devdas with Shah Rukh.

Had heard that Mads is joining the London concert on Oct 5...but as per this article is she also joining the US part of the tour?? Jhalak finale is on 20th... confusing...😕 May be she'll join in once the finale is over...
