Okay so ladies do not kill me when I tell you that I am part of the crowd that thought ( and still think even with the reruns ) that Barun was a bit stiff in the initial episodes. His voice was awkwardly husky and he was learning the limits of the bad boy good boy in his character. It was ONLY after the rain hug did I feel that he let himself go to become this iconic character.

Of the maha episodes I agree with @Anu on my favorite to be Khushi engagement with his "Farak padta hai.." and the second best the Airport departure and both for the reason of Barun's tremendous acting. You feel his hurt and him fighting thru it . How many actors in todays day & age , let alone television make you feel for the character the way Barun did. I agree that a lot has to do with the contribution of the team but it is the actor that finally lights up the screen.

In these initial epiosdes he looks so fresh that I can keep looking at him without blinking.

oh How I miss thee Barun Sobti,,,,,

Such a beautiful man. The way his hair falls on his ear, how his lips tilt down when he sleeps, his light but reassuring grasp on her hand. That innocence. Stunning.

I agree with you totally. I didn't recognize Barun as a great actor and thought he was quite raw, UNTIL this scene.

For me, after the breakdown scene, this was the epitome of the brilliance of his performances. I have never cried for a serial. This scene changed that. The trembling of his voice, and most importantly, the pain in those eyes, they struck straight through my heart. I love love love this scene. It is honestly one of my favorites. THIS was the perfection of IPK I prefer to remember.

This was supposed to be Sanaya's scene, and while she was amazing... this scene belonged to Barun totally. He owned it.

I might sound lame but I think Barun was perfect from the beginning...
The hollow life of asr... Came through his eyes... His eyes were devoid of any emotions...
Or maybe Barun was learning ... And I have watched the episodes so many times tat it became a part of arnav's character for me...

One of my absolute fav scenes; while most Arhi scenes are stellar and usually rank as favorites for most, it was this Arnav-Anjali scene that totally stole my heart. I think like Khushi for the first time actually saw the small boy behind the iron mask, I began to see the versatile actor in Barun. The ease with which he portrays a range of emotions is just flawless😳.

Meens - most of Barun's scenes, I think all of them actually were really in a different league. The way he conveyed what the character was feeling was awesome and no matter what people may say, he was just awesome as the vulnerable Arnav hiding behind the ruthless ASR mask.
