Fallouts In 2010

The year 2010 was a roller coaster ride for Bollywood. While we saw some drama on-screen, we even got the opportunity to see some drama (or should we say much more) off screen. Some remained the talk -of -the- town by giving hits in the industry, while some grabbed headlines by saying anything and everything that is politically incorrect! We saw some great friendships blossoming and some fallouts too. Let's have a look at the biggest fallouts of the year.

Starting with mentor-protge fallout- Karan Johar and Ayan Mukherjee. Apparently when Rishi Kapoor was miffed by the potshots taken at his son and Bollywood actor, Ranbir Kapoor, Ayan was in a fix about which side to choose. Torn between the one who gave him his first break WAKE UP SID and his close buddy, Ayan finally chose Ranbir over KJo resulting into ouster from Dharma Productions.

We can actually say that the success of MURDER was mainly due to Mallika Sherawat's steamy scenes. Post to which, Mukesh Bhatt said he didn't need Mallika for MURDER 2. He even went over board saying Mallika's Bollywood career is over. His claim that Mallika tried to hog the limelight around the movie strained their professional relation between the MYTH actresses and Bhatt films.

Ekta Kapoor and Rajeev Khandelwal always kept mum about their fallout. However things changed after Rajeev allegedly claimed that he did not like Ekta's television programming. Ekta hit back by saying that Rajeev was using her name to garner publicity. Finally she vowed never to work with him again.

Then came news about Kangana being upset about how the Bhatts used her personal relationship with Adhayan Suman as a publicity tool for the movie RAAZ: THE MYSTERY CONTINUES. And thus she decided not to take part in any promotional activities for the film.

But the biggest fallout of the year 2010 has to be the Shahrukh-Farah spat. They were best of friends once, but now every latest gossip of the Hindi film industry talks about their animosity. The reason for the feud is said to be that Shahrukh refused to act in Farah Khan's TEES MAAR KHAN. So Farah went ahead and cast Bollywood star Akshay Kumar instead. She even made fun of SRK in the same film.

As written by my friend Divya in one of her blogs, there are no permanent friendships and enmity in Bollywood. So I hope all these Bollywood stars clear out all their issues soon, so that we get to see some nice movies with great pairing!
