Rewind to 5 years ago - Born and brought up in Kanpur, Gaurav came to Mumbai to pursue an MBA degree, but destiny had other plans for him. While working out at the gym, he was mistaken to be a model and was offered a lucrative ad campaign. More modelling assigments followed .. one thing led to another and he landed his first cameo role in Star One's teleseries,'One Night Stand' where he played Sunny Sir, a young boy who took tuitions. Cameo's in Siddhant & Bhabhi followed .. until he landed an important role in BAG's afternoon soap, Kumkum where he played Sharman Wadhwa, and became an instant hit with viewers! He got his first major lead role in Zee TV's 'Meri Doli Tere Angana, followed by Zee TV's Ardhangani, Colors' 'Jeevan Saathi' and 'Santaan' on Star Plus. While he was a known face on television, it was Star One's 'Love Ne Mila Di Jodi', where he played Prithvi that got him the recognition, and success followed with his effortless portrayal of Abeer Vajpayee in Colors' 'Yeh Pyar Na Hoga Kam'.
In a short span of 4 years in the television industry, Gaurav has played characters that have been different from one another, thus giving him the scope to perform and exhibit his talent. From Sharman in Kumkum to Abeer in Yeh Pyar Na Hoga Kam, as an actor, Gaurav has gone from strength to strength with every character, thus proving his versatility. And it doesn't end there. The multi-faceted guy that he is, Gaurav is not only a brilliant actor but a fabulous painter as well! A self-proclaimed workaholic, when not shooting, he is either spending time with friends or with himself, painting & decorating his home!
