Hey Lizzie, I have some questions regarding the besties challenge...

1. Does it have to be one person each suggesting a book, or can one person suggest both books (of course, only if the other buddy is fine with it and wants to read both of those books), like for example if I give a list of suggestions, and my buddy can choose 2 books from there or suggest their own. No, the idea is to have suggestions from both buddies, so each can feel accommodated and represented.

2. Is discussing the book in the thread enough or we need to give a proper review at the end with 2 quotes like previous themes? No, a review or quotes are not needed, just general discussion, thoughts etc will work. Similar to how other Buddy read threads work.

3. Will it count if both of the books we read are from the same series, like reading a trilogy together for eample? Or will you only count that as one book? Yeah books from the same series are fine provided they are published as separate books. But, if it’s a suggestion from one buddy, then only one book needs to be counted. The other book will be a suggestion from the other buddy.

4. What if I have already started a book and want to continue it, and my buddy also decides to read it with me for this challenge, will it still count even though I have already started it before August? We want both buddies to start and finish the 2 books during the month of August so no, books that you started earlier won’t work.

5. Can we re-read books with our buddy if we have already read them? Sure, re-reading is fine.

This! I find most disappointing because they start of really well and become predictable way too early sometimes.

There is some suspense and mystery, but I found it's more romantic comedy with the author attempting shades of darkness. Its a one time entertaining read so I would recommend it to give it a try.

Hmmm im not a fan of romcom much but I'' give it a try for the suspense.

Preferred Genres:

I like Rom Coms,Contemporary Romance, Fantasy based Romance,Supernatural romance,Mystery based romance,Romantic thrillers and Fantasy themes,Contract Marriage and arranged marriages..Also Sci fi themes involving space and time travel with some romantic angle is good too..

I don't read extremely fast I'm sort of a slow to medium paced reader though depends on the novel.

Triggers:

I don't like a lot of violence or disturbing themes though I'm okay with some amount of violence..I avoid highly detailed mentions of self harm and abuse,Childhood trauma too though when it's mild to moderate it's pretty okay..But not as the main focus and not too intense..

I also don't like detailed mentions of insects and bugs it makes me really uncomfortable as I have trypophobia ..

Also I always avoid horror as I'm not comfortable reading about ghosts and hauntings..I don't enjoy reading non fiction or biographies..I don't enjoy reading historical or period fiction unless it's a modern contemporary take of it..

My preferences are Queenofdarkness, Ragazzadolce, Wildestdreams - I know you asked for top 2 but these 3 showed interest in pairing up with me and I can't pick from them. So I'll be happy to paired with any of them.

Genres: Psychological Thriller/Mystery, Romance, Dark, Mafia (no triggers, the twisted the better)

Even if you cant pair me with the above 3, I'll be happy to pair up with anyone who is fine with reading Psychological Thrillers. Thank you Lizzie!
