It's a good approach. smiley1 One shouldn't pressurise himself/herself to read a certain number of pages or a particular number of books. It takes away the enjoyment of reading.

I don’t think it will be fair since the page counts/ word counts that we follow for prose will be completely thrown off. You may have just a 4 line poem on one page in a book of poetry. So a 300 page book of only poetry cannot be compared to a 300 page book of prose/ non-fiction in terms of its content or the time spent reading it.

I’ve allowed everything else- books, ebooks, audiobooks, FFs, plays and now even OSs that many asked for.

I think we can leave out poetry for now.

Actually, I was thinking about a book named 100 Selected Poems: John Keats. The book is much more difficult and complex compared to a lot of novels. It takes a lot of time to understand the language, metaphors, imagery and the meaning of his poems. But it's absolutely fine if poetry books aren't allowed. I only wanted to know. Then I won't read that poetry book in June. I may read the book later after the completion of this reading challenge.

Oh I will participate in June and am happy to buddy read if you wish to. But maybe not in July. Also won’t have a lot of time in June to organise this challenge. I’ll do my best to set it up, and get things started but won’t be around at the end so won’t be able to do end of the challenge tasks such as tallies, badges etc. That’s why I’m roping Madhu in. And since she hasn’t been involved so far, I thought some of the regular members here can help her out with how page counts are done etc.

I'm willing to be captain if you can set up the google sheet because I've never done them before.

Get better soonsmiley31 health comes first but sometimes reading can also be a good distraction

Yeah I'll set up the sheet.

I'll keep that in mind while making up the teams. I want different people as captains this time.

Also, next month's challenge will be a bit different smiley16
