A couple of things I wanted to check:

Do rereads count?

Also, I track mine on Goodreads and the counts are almost always the same as Amazon so I could just use the pages from there?

Thanks

yes anything that you read counts! Even if its a re-read.

Yes Good Reads is totally fine!

Actually I have the same question smiley37 because I tend to go into a spree of reading wattpad fictions too.

We're trying to figure out a way to have a different parameter to log so we can include online fiction too. Any suggestions?

I suggested word count in my prev replysmiley4

since there are some fictions which have <10 chapters but the chapters are long enough to be counted upto 15-20 chapters. while some have some 500+ chapters with very less word count

Please let us know your pace of reading so that we can assign teams.

I read around 15-25 books a month on average, but if we're excluding comics and graphic novels, then most likely I'm not reading more than 20 books.

I would like to offer some.

Wattpad or any online fiction will mostly have chapters in story. I think stories that are one shots ( in case they are less than, say 6000 words ) and two shots can be discounted ( only because it doesn’t have the words that a novel has ) Maybe you can consider an online fiction with at least 4+ chapters as a book ?

Second criteria would be word count. Maybe you can consider/ keep a threshold after which it would be considered a book. A normal book published in Amazon will have more than 30,000 + words. ( novellas might have even 10,000– in which case it can be mentioned as such explicitly )

Reading hours : this can be a criteria but I’m afraid it changes from person to person. What I might read in 10 minutes might take another person 12 or 8 to do so.

So in my humble opinion, the first two would be a good criteria.

Not really but it's not difficult to know the word count. esp if these are posted on wattpad/ao3/wordpress. word count extensions can be used

Hi, thanks for inviting me.

I read slowly and don't have time to read multiple books.

Thats if I read a whole book in April. But I have already started so many books, and if I continue to read those into April, is there any way to count page numbers of specific chapters?
