But there should be no cheating going on. Any relationships prior to the main leads getting together are fine but not after.

Yeah cheating is never okay with me either. I gave a lot of books a low rating just because of cheating.smiley36

I like stalker type romance or where MC keeps the FC captivesmiley17

There's romance but not much and the level of spicy well...smiley36

It is spicy in terms of revenge and murder. The FL is a serial killer, so yeah...(this is me trying to not give you spoilerssmiley36)

Let me rephrase my question then - how graphic/explicit are the scenes?smiley36

@bold - that's fine with me.

I just prefer the FL's to be strong. She need not to be stronger than the ML or superhuman types, just able enough to fight and stand up for herself.

Leonard, the FBI agent and Logan's friend, the only other person apart from Hadley, Jake and Logan who knew about Lana being Victoria and the revenge killer.

And yeah, more than Logan-Lana romance, I was more interested in Jake & Hadley. As for Jake & Lana's theirs relationship is also what I loved about the series.

Logan was good to be laughed at though, how he was "I will protect you Lana" not realizing that she didn't need that protectionsmiley36

ahh yes!

Right? For an FBI agent, Logan was pretty dumb smiley36

The last 2 books needed a lot of suspension of disbelief but the revenge was so satisfying that I didn’t question the logic much smiley36

Based on my scale of explicit/graphic scenes, I would say 1.5 out of 5

This isn't explicit or too graphic and it isn't a dark romance. The series is a revenge story with major trigger warnings.

This series is more of mystery, crime and thriller than romance.

Lizzie, I've one more question. I know I'm asking too many questions. smiley36 But I believe it's always better to clear up confusions. The question is related to e-books. Should a participant write the Kindle page count even if he/she reads a downloaded e-book (pdf or many other format)?

Yeah I’ll be reposting the rules and I’ll make that clear. For e-books post Kindle page count even if you download a PDF.

But I’m thinking to give an option to log actual number of pages in an ebook in case they aren’t able to find a Kindle version. Like for regional books maybe Kindle versions - e-books or paperbacks won’t be available. In such cases they can just log page count from the actual ebook they’re reading.

Yeah, Logan was, well, a man. Like any other good man but as a FBI agent he was too easy to foolsmiley36 Perhaps, he was too lost in love to notice.

I picked this up because of a serial killer FL and loved it because of revenge. Not many get to do what Lana was able to.

The author did a wonderful job with all the novels that she wrote. Ah, may her soul rest in peace.

Yes too bad - I enjoyed her writing, even her pen name is so delicious - S.T.Abby smiley36

I've got Butcher and the Blackbird in my TBR, planning to get to it next after I finish my current book, hopefully I can log it in in April

Here's my review after I read it if you're interested smiley9

You guys should read Pen Pal by JT Geissinger, its dark romance but also more of a psychological thriller. I really loved the twist. That one is kind of about revenge too but not so much.
