Ohh that's one I haven't read by her!

Yeah these days the only reason I read her books are cos they're easy to read and help me get to my reading goals faster smiley36 otherwise her protagonists are TSTL ( a new term I learned only thanks to her books! smiley36).

I still like Locked Door the best among the ones I've read, maybe cos it's the first book I read of hers. The Crash, The Boyfriend and The housemaid were all not bad though.

The inmate - I hated. Same with Never lie, though it had its moments.

Now I'm not sure if I wanna read The Ex smiley22

P.S. Also, I would have to filter a lot of books, given I'll have to share the book namessmiley39

I actually have the same problem too smiley37

What if we are a wee bit reticent sharing the book names ? I mean a girl can read the smiley43 right ? smiley36 There’s a reason why I am not a person who offers recommendations much.

TSTL kya hai?

I thought the inmate was good. I heard good reviews or maybe im confusing it with another book of hers..

The Ex had a good plot - I was hooked onto it until the last few chapters, then it just went downhill.

Too Stupid To Live smiley37

I will probably read The Ex anyway

Forgot to mention The Teacher (gave me the creeps this one), The Surrogate Mother and the Co-worker. Also The wife upstairs- recycled plot of Verity smiley29

though it might sound like bragging but I think this might categorise as cheating. I read like 4-5 essays with average length of 6k words each -usually it depending on papers I teach, a novel or a fanfic depending on my semester schedule within a day (Yesterday, i literally read a 55k words long ff last night took me 2 hrs to finish, and 2 long essays and a 200 pages long single spaced dissertation and 2 short ffs of 12k&15k words during the daytime), a critical text or two within a week on an average when I am lazing around. The critical texts increase when I have to teach them though. If I have done the math correctly, my reading comes to 500 pages daily or 2.5 book/per day acc or to 200pg oer book count. The slowest reading I have ever done is 2 novels per week and that was when I studying in high school.

I understand if this would be deemed unfair to others. I wont mind if you tell me so. I just thought the disclaimer is much needed.

Idk I don't want to exclude someone because they might read too much! You might inspire others here smiley9

Maybe we can have an upper limit for you to log? Like you will clearly be in the more than 20 books category but perhaps we can only consider a maximum number of pages from you (to be determined). Do you think that's fair to you even if you have read more? If yes, I'll put your name down. Also we will exclude critical texts, essays, dissertations etc, and include only books and FFs. Let me know if that works.

Maybe, but some might feel overwhelmed including the team members...

This seems interesting. How many do you suggest? I am fine with this idea, but again, it will disbalance the competition since it might seem one-sided, if I log successfully.

In books, I presume you will include non-fiction as well? Because if we decide only fiction and fan-fiction with an extra upper limit for me, it could be a tad more difficult to achieve. April being literally the last month before exam becomes quite hectic to take time off on some days for me to pursue my interests.

Alternatively, I can also participate as a non-competing member. I will log like everyone else, report to team captain but just to do a healthy inspiration part and not to win.

Alright let's do it this way since it's the first month and we don't know how any of this will work. We'll make you an honorary member in one team, you just log pages (but we won't use it in the final tally). Then once we have a idea of how things go, maybe you can sign up as a regular reader in May (provided the challenge continues and people stay interested). How does that sound?

Sounds good. 🐥 Count me in.

I will log the pages of everything I read that is available on amazon for cross verification. Though, are we still considering other restrictions for me?

No, since we're not tallying the pages it's fine but let's stick to online fiction and books - and books will include non-fiction too. Just not essays and dissertations. Basically all the rules that will apply to everyone else.
