Did anyone here read The Book Thief? If not i seriously recommend it!

Book: The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

Genre: War, jews, romance, historical, holocaust

This book is totally different and its written in such a way, you can't stop reading it after awhile...i know people think its a grim and boring subject if its historical but this book was an amazing experience

Summary: i can't really say it's story about one particular thing...but anyways its about this girl, books, a lot of words, germans, jews holocaust, thievery, and the narration is very unique cause its told from death's point of view...

it got excellent reviews and GO READ IT!!👍🏼

All books by Ellen Hopkins. They're into teen conflicts, like drugs and stuff. Very interesting and should deff. be worht your time.

Name: Night
Genre: WWII/Jews/Non-Fiction
Story Outline: almost a memoir of Erich Segal's experience of the concentration camps, the horror, and the desperation humanity had gone through in which humanity failed
Why do you recommend it: I've always believed there's some good in humans no matter what, but after reading this book, you realize cruelty knows no bounderies, and goodness lies in a very few people
Other comment: I DARE you to read this book w/o being moved in one way or ther other, bad or good. Excerpt/not-so-much-of-a-spoiler: son kills father over a piece of bread that the father brought for him... son did not want to share...
Rating(scale of 1-5, 5 being the best): 5... reality and that too in such a raw form has no scaling beyond greatness

Name: Of Mice and Men
Genre: Fiction
Story Outline: Best Friends and how one commits a daring act to save his friend
Why do you recommend it: You'll fall in love with Lenny's inperfections
Other comment: This book teaches you to be more empathetic and know that not everyone is made the same and some duties can only be done by you..and only you can give full justice to some things..
Rating(scale of 1-5, 5 being the best): 4

Name: Great Gatsby
Genre: Romance/Random
Story Outline: Guy comes back from war to win over lost love thats already married
Why do you recommend it: shows you how that moving forward is the ONLY way to go, really its for people who think time doesn't change anything
Other comment: Read if you want a better perspective on a different kind of love
Rating(scale of 1-5, 5 being the best): 3.5

Name: Jane Eyre
Genre: Romantic/Fictional Story Outline: Jane had a very sad childhood. She becomes a governess of a child and there she meets Mr.Rochester who she falls in love with and who's hiding something from her.
Why do you recommend it: Its a very very good book. It shows you that life really can't be perfect always and you can't really always get what you want.
Other comment: The book can be very descriptive at times, but its really good.

AUTHOR : STEPHENIE MEYER

Genre: fictional

Story Outline : a alien soul inserted into a girl's body( melanie stryder). mel's life become soul's life. mel refuses to give comtrol of her body to the soul. both fall n love with the same guy. and run away to find him.

Why do you recommend it: it depicts the power of relation-ships. and defirrents reaction of human toearda situation, and shows that earth is strangest planet becoz of human residing here.

other comment: a story which make u thirll , i t shows loyalty to the parter, unconditional love of brother and keep family above self

story line :

landon carter wud never have dreamed of asking jamie sullivan out, buta twist of fate throws them together. in the moths that follow Landon breaks down jmaie's natural reserve and begins to know her _a nd fall in love.

but then he dicovers that jamie has a reson for not letting ppl close_ a scret that wil break his heart.

Why do you recommend it:

nice book which lives u completely satisfied.

other comment: keep u fantasising.

Book Name: And then there were none - Agatha Christie

Plot: Ten people who have gotten away with murder accept an invitation to holiday or work on an island. No one knows who the host is. But it soon becomes obvious that their unseen host is murderously insane, intent on executing justice for unpunished and hitherto undetected crimes.
Nor does their host make an appearance, save in a recorded message detailing the crimes for which they are about to die. They are isolated on an island without a boat and it is too far to swim.
There is no phone service and no radio. They all take conceivable precautions to hide themselves. Still, one by one, the residents die.

Why must you read it: Not because I say it's the best book - but because the plot is so amazingly structered and planned, you feel Agatha is a true genius by the end of the book. It's one of the best mystery books I've picked up in a long time. Do give it a read.

Author: John Barlow

Genre: Non-Fiction/Science for general reading

Why do you recommend it: If you are interested in the logic behind the universe' existence, or interested in the physics and the logic behind a scientific world in general, this is a great book to start out at. There's an excellent first chapter dedicated to enumerating the pros of science writing for the masses which is enlightening and encouraging. Definitely a necessary read for the curious. Should be followed by a Michiko Kaku work in my opinion =]

i wld just recommend one book though am sure someone else wld have already recommended it but sitll i wld recommend Alchemiiiiiiiist that book is nothing short of MAGIC it has the power to change lives change our perception towards lifeeeeee it has the power to make u belive in your dreams and it gives u the courage the faith to follow your dreams right till the very end its a must read book if u wana live ur life to the fulllest live ur life for fulfilling that one mission one purpose for which we actly came to this world its a book which wld make u belive in god and his miracles it wld help u understand his signs which he shows us always through the universe

Name: The Time Traveler's Wife
Genre: Sci-Fi/Romance
Story Outline: This story is about Henry and Clare, and their love story. Clare's known Henry all her life, but Henry's just met Clare at the age of 22. How is this possible? Well, Henry has a rare genetic disorder called "Chrono Displacement" and it causes him to time travel in the past and future of his life. Life is difficult for Henry, but when he meets Clare, his world is about to change!
Why do you recommend it: It is the most amazing novel I've ever read. Romance, sci-fi, mystery, horror.. it's got it ALL!
Other comment: The story is written through the POV's of Clare and Henry, it's kind of confusing because the time periods keep changin (I.e from past to present to future) but it's amazing once you get the hang of it!
