Hi, Y'all!
I have recently started watching BBC adaptations of various Classic novels such as North and South (which premiered back in 2004!) and Pride and Prejudice (Though I am not an Austen fan). I wanted to know if any of you, too, are bitten by the BBC bug? Also, Does it change your perception in anyway?

I feel I am getting better at gauging Austen's world because I don't read her works, I see it through some one else's lens. Also, It is an amazing platform to introduce yourself to Classics when you won't read them.

If you do watch them, which ones are your favorite? Share thy wisdom! :)

Cheers!

BBC's Pride and Prejudice is just wow. The only adaptation of a classic I really liked , as much as I liked the novel.

The only classic adaptation I've watched is Pride and Prejudice which is a huge favorite of mine, even more than the 2005 film 😳. Everything about that adaptation was just perfect as if the book came alive off the pages, well with the addition of that lovely scene with a drenched Mr.Darcy which I'm sure even Ms.Austen would have approved 😉.

North and South is something I have wanted to watch for quite a while but somehow I keep putting it off.

As for Sherlock, it's another big favorite of mine but I totally forgot that's by BBC too 😆 but I feel more than a classic adaptation it is more of a modern retelling of the tale. But if we have to include it here than ok Pride and Prejudice and Sherlock are the only ones I have watched so far and I love them both dearly ❤️
