HI there.
Has anyone read this book called Palace of Illusions?
Its a very different take on Mahabharat from Draupadi's point of view. What I liked about this book is, none of the characters are idolized. Every character is just like a normal being with some flaws and some virtues seen through the eyes of Draupadi, the narrator including herself. Give it a try. Its a good read.

Anyone here into Indian mythology and ancient history? Can you please suggest me some good books? I am planning to read Jaya by Devdutta Pattanaik next.

Sounds interesting. Mahabharat is such a complicated and VAST story in itself that any take on it is bound to be difficult and intriguing.
Try Immortals of Meluha? The Shiva Trilogy? I love the first two books in the series. The third one sucks, though.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, the more you read about Mahabharat, the more interesting and intriguing it gets.
I have read The Shiva Trilogy. Same here. Loved the first two books. I finished them in 2 weeks. But the last book took 6 months to finish. It was so boring. Dragged forever like Indian daily soaps.
There is one more book I found on Mahabharat called Ajaya. Pretty new. Published in December last year. Take on the epic from Kaurava's point of view. Now that would be an interesting read.

Haha... Indian soaps! 😆
I never finished the third book. I was completely bored.

That should be interesting. I'll definitely give it a try. Thanks. :)
