Umm.. kinda butting in here, but for those who liked 50 shades, try the Crossfire series by Sylvia Day.
I wasn't all that bowled over with 50, wasnt happy with Ana as a character, Christian too seemed a bit off to me and the writing was a bit juvenile at some points, but not so with Crossfire.
The couple has serious problems both of them, and while you get the ott beautiful gay bff, the ott family and some honestly wth moments, but over all I felt the characters had way way more depth then the people in 50 shades did...

Just a rec and I'll add the warning that the erotic content is just as high and similar to 50 shades, maybe a lil more

I don't like the erotica in it

But the story line is so gud

Worth reading. I used to skip the erotica part.

Well half of the part is erotica 😆

Urmmm.. it was ok at first :)
Being a book lover I simply HAD to read it!
Got upto 20 chapters!

The entire set of books are in a farther corner of my book cupboard!
Didnt bother taking em' out after that! 😆

But, you might like it, you wouldnt know if you dont try! :) I found Christian Grey.. ok! Minus what he does in the bedroom! 😆

It is certainly erotic.
But, the first two parts are good..the third one was just a drag.

You could definitely give that/those book(s) a read. Just be warned of its erotic mature content which many of us might not be comfortable with.
I read all the three books and I liked the way the storyline developed.
A grey character to a normally functioning man all because of one girl Anastasia Steele.

I heard the book started off as a twilight fanfic, so decided to not even give it a try. Nothing good can come off Twishit.
I just wanted to point out that 50 shades surpassed HP as the fastest selling books ONLY.

Global sales of the trilogy are said to be over 40 million - still a long way from the 450 million achieved by JK Rowling's Harry Potter series.

Probably just good marketing cuz most of my friends who read the book thought it was poorly written, found it disgusting, or thought that the sex-scenes were boring and badly written.

I definitely agree with poorly written aspect. The writing at one point seems childish and lacks maturity which stories as such required. On the other hand, the character of Christian Grey is amazingly portrayed and characterised <3 Anna annoyed the crap out of me on the second book, so I quit reading it altogether!

This book's rating varies from person to person. But of course, all books depend on perspectives. But here, it is all about how much You can digest what you read.
This is the major reason why the whole universe has mixed feelings about this book.
I personally loved the first book, though I read it when I was only 12.

I got bored after a few chapters of 2nd book. Full of repititive sentences. 'what should I do about it Mrs. Grey?' 'Christian, u r a good man.' 'he smirked, she flushed' 'hmm' 'and sex scenes were good in the beginning and repetitive afterwards.
I am not saying its a bad book. I, personally have enjoyed both twilight and 50 shades. I am just saying, don't expect anything. Its a simple story. Instant connection, good looking leads, nice love scenes, has a bad past, she makes him whole, everybody crushes, flirts with the leads, blah blah blah. Just enjoy the romance.
