Actually they r showing Christian practicing BDSM . As per my knowledge on BDSM (limited to just 6-7 novels though) tells that a Dominant beating his/her Submissive in some certain areas during s** is quiet a normal thing in BDSM ...the beating & all in the novel r limited to that BDSM thing only...its not like Christian has put Ana through domestic violence & well... Christian's past was quiet painful which affected him very much & so he is a bit different from other guys...the beating thing , why he likes to beat his submissive is explained in the 2nd book & its connected to his past .

The way i'm explaining I'll end up revealing the whole story 😆.😆 if u r ok with erotic contents read it out , I think u'll like it 😊

Well, erotic stuff...that's how it happens...one can always skip it ...*shrugs* if it's getting too much. I don't think one will be missing much if you skip those parts?
I hate first person ... but few friends pushing me to read it ... and plus wanting to know what's all the fuss/controversy is about.

The writing isn't much skilled one & as its an "erotic" novel , it has loads of adult contents . At first I was astonished (it was the first erotic novel I read 😆 ) , but then I tried some other erotic novels & understood that every "erotic" novel do have those contents . So if u have wishfully picked up an "erotic" novel , there's no point of crying why does it have so much suh scenes 😆

If you can ignore the adult parts , as a story I found it good 😊 I donno if I'm the only one , but the whole messed up boy , painful past , innocent girl , love & care & trending towards light kind of concepts r quiet good read for me . I like that kind of stories & 50 Shades is one of those type of story .

U can try it out if u r ready for the "erotic" part . The story is quiet good & Christian Grey will make you fall in love with him 😉

@Bold: Definitely agree. Apart from the adult content, the book actually has good storyline. it's not all about BDSM. It explains Grey's past and what made him the way he is. I kinda find Ana a bit annoying though for some reason.

It's funny people say that seeing it's from her perspective ... but I think it's the way the books written. Even tho story seems to be popular, but nobody can claim it's the best written book - grammar wise. I'm at third chap ... and it's not pulling me towards.

^^ It's definitely not the best of the literature. Far from it, in fact. It's the Erotic aspect along with a good background on Grey's past. That's about it.

^^ Let's just say, it's average. It's kinda cute the way Grey expresses his love for her and tries to give up on BDSM (in the second book, that is)

^^ I haven't a clue. Like I said, I gave up on the second book after a while. Not my kinda, I guess. Do let know what you thought of the first one though :)
PS - If you have any recommendation on books, do let me know.
