i have completed the first book and now wondering whether i should take up the second book or else wait for the series

You should start second book. Not knowing whats going to happen in next page is a awesome feeling.Or you could do vice verse. There are couple of scene in book, that are going to look completely surprising to non readers.

I had read all five books before watching the show, Second bran chapter is were things get interesting, but you already know that.

There you go.. you have that advantage I shall soon catch up, once I am able to get things in order.. I shall be well prepared for Season 2..

Yeah Second book is mostly about Tyrion and Arya. I liked theon pov too. Third book A storm of swords is the best book in the series. You know what, even after third book , only half of the contender for the throne get introduced.

I just noticed one thing, this trailer focuses on female characters only.

Good observation... I noticed after you mentioned it.. I am looking forward to Arya Stark and her transformation. I have already given up on Sansa...

Sansa believed in Fairy tales world. Her world shattered in king"s landing. she will have to change herself, if she wants to survive . Don't forget , she's alone in king's landing. But Arya and sansa are not the only women in the series to look forward to. Brienne, Melisandre, Yrigette, Yara Grejoy and sand sisters(are introduced in book 4) all are awesome characters.
