A Wish Maker?

No, I haven't read it yet.

Have you read it? If yes, did you like it?

Can you please tell us what it's about without giving away the plot of the book?

I have read this book The Wish maker by Ali Sethi I believe is his last name it his first book, but anyways this book centers on a family and opens with preparations for a wedding, during the novel there are stories surrounding the family and its members. This book is basically a story about a boy growing up in Pakistan without a father. He is raised by his strong-willed and outspoken mother and grandmother. This story has love, humour, sadness and drama all rolled into one. Although it took me a while to get into the story at the beginning, once I did, I really enjoyed it. This book is actually written quite well, it is a really good coming-of-age story, with the background of modern Pakistan.

Though this is not an action book, so if you want a fast moving, gripping novel, this isn't it. I recommend this for those who like family sagas and/or coming-of-age books.😃
