Please watch it if you are/were a die hard fan of Mithun, and want to do a favour to him for old time's sake.
Director: Raj N Sippy
What? Actors!: Mimoh Chakraborty, Mimoh Chakraborty and more of Mimoh Chakraborty, a PYT as his arm candy, a boring old comedian who was once caught on camera molesting a newcomer, an out of work model, etc (anyone who came in cheap and didn't mind Mimoh hogging all the scenes)
Mithun Chakraborty, the stud of C grade movies has probably forgotten to move with time and churns out a complete spoof on the 70's films. The only thing new about 'Jimmy' is his chubby boy 'Mimoh'. Who was named after Michael Jackson and Mohammed Ali (Mi Moh)!
Too bad he fights like Michael and dances like Mohammed, or he really could have been something!
The problem is that Mimoh looks like an un-evolved monkey. The hairstyle, the chubby face, the flab all over his body makes your wonder if he really is the protagonist. Not to mention when he speaks, he sounds like Bobby Darling. He desperately needs a nose-job, a cheek job, a body job and then report to papa.
All that extra chub may have restricted any show of emotion or expressions on his face.
Dance seems to be his forte and he tries to pull off a Hrithik Roshan in 'Kaho Na Pyar Hai'. But when Hrithik dances it's elegant and pleases the eyes and when chubbymal dances.....lets say he's a poor man's Hrithik!
If your IQ is above 50 or in the whereabouts you would have guessed (from the trailers itself) that the movie is about Mimoh!
The film makers seemed to have lost hope the day Mithun burdened them with Mimoh and haven't even made an effort to make the film at least tolerable.
This supposed thriller starts off with a young women's dead body found in the night.'Jimmy' is as clich' as it gets. Chubbymal works in a garage because he is a mechanical engineer!! And as all heroes are great at multitasking, is a DJ in the night. He is also detected with one of the most famous Bollywood diseases after lymphoma sarcoma of the intestine, a brain tumour. But still manages to gyrate to C grade numbers.
Jimmy for some obscure reason takes the murder on his head and is sentenced to death. He is hung just before the interval and The Bitch felt relief like never before.
Unfortunately, it turned out to be a dream and Mimoh realises he's been made the victim of a major conspiracy. The murdered girl is actually the ACP's sister and a rich businessman is apparently behind the crime.
By the way, Jimmy is also on the last stage of brain tumour and that's why he takes money from a businessman to clear his father's debt. In return he takes the blame on his head.
Wonder of wonders, in jail he realises what an ass he's been and that he doesn't have brain tumour any more.
That's when the action hero Jimmy gets down to the business of flying kicks and asinine stunts to kill the baddies.
Oh, there is a heroine too. Jimmy boy has a girlfriend and she does her bit of blushing and running around.
There is everything that a 70's flick would have had in it. From 'Maa Ka Aashirwad' to 'Heroine Ka Pyaar', every nauseating element torments you to a great extent.
The Bitch doesn't bother telling you more; it doesn't make any sense anyway!
For Mimoh, acting should be the last thing on his mind. First he's got to do something about his looks. He looks pathetic!
Without a humungous change in this guy, The Bitch could easily predict his future.
Rest of the cast isn't even noteworthy, considering how Mithun went overboard with making his son's presence felt in the movie.
The music by Anand Raj Anand, Bappa Lahri and Vijay Verma is as sad as the movie, with Mimoh jumping to glory on them.
The makers appear to have had no say in the flick.
All in all, Jimmy is most certainly a painful accident that will scar you for life.
