‘I have lost many friends due to TZP’ Dar

Child prodigy Darsheel Safary who won millions of hearts in Taare Zameen Par is becoming increasingly popular in the ad world. The kid who moved India to tears with his portrayal of Ishan Awasthi in TZP will now be seen in his first television commercial endorsing the a health drink.

QHow does it feel to be in demand for endorsements?
It feels great. I am really happy to be a brand ambassador for products that I have been using for a long time.

Q From films to ads, how has the experience been?
It has been a really cool experience. I loved shooting for the advertisement. I had loads of fun doing it.

Q You have worked with Aamir Khan, and have been appreciated by everyone including Shah Rukh Khan. Do you feel like a grown up?
No, I enjoy being a child and having fun. I like to play pranks and act my age. I also love dancing.

Q What do you dislike?
The media intrusion. I don't like answering questions, specially like "Darsheel, how was it acting in TZP?" I mean, the movie is over now, ab kyun poochte ho? Also, wherever I go, the media always follows me. I get really tired at times.

Q How does it feel going back to school and hanging out with friends now?
Because of my stardom, I have lost many friends. Some of them are jealous of me, but sometimes I really miss them.

Q What are your future plans?
Since I believe that studies should be given the first priority over, you will now see me in school and not in films. Acting is secondary.
