Cast: Anil Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor.
Director: Vijay Kumar Acharya
Plot: A desi cowboy (Akshay Kumar). A smooth call-centre employee (Saif Ali Khan). A sly femme fatale (Kareena Kapoor). A kooky gangster (Anil Kapoor). The crazy foursome get together under larger-than-life circumstances with the intention to thrill and kill.
Pros: The cast, definitely. Besides starring Akshay Kumar -- the hottest superstar of the season and Anil Kapoor, on a roll post-Welcome and Race, there's the much-hyped real-time jodi of Saif-Kareena all set to sizzle on screen.
Cons: Not everyone's idea of style or substance is Bebo's zero-size figure or Welcome Kapoor's broken English.

Plot: A Super Brat (Aman Siddique) has a ghostly encounter when he bumps into the shabby 'n' crabby spirit, Bhoothnath (Bachchan). Their unique adventures together form the crux of the plot.
Pros: Big B doing a Casper sounds fun. Plus, he, along with co-star Juhi Chawla, share a wonderful on-screen rapport with kids. Not to forget, there's SRK pitching in to do a special appearance. And no, it's not for an item number.
Cons: Viewers trying to seek a Taare Zameen Par here, will be sorely disappointed.

Cast: Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Tanishaa.
Director: Ram Gopal Varma
Plot: She (Ash) makes him a business offer he (Abhishek Bachchan) cannot refuse. The latter convinces his traditionalist dad (Bachchan Sr) to give in to the same. If only he had known it would land them in big-time political mess.
Pros: It's a Bachchan affair! The troika, last seen shaking a leg in Bunty Aur Babli's Kajra re, bounce back in a new avatar with this political drama.
Cons: RGV's last few films were supreme disasters. Hopefully, the man who made Shiva and Satya has regained his touch with Sarkar Raj.

Plot: As a part of their course, a bunch of students of film-making take a road trip while trying to understand the significance behind the logo reading out of every vehicle they pass -- Mera Bharat Mahaan.
Pros: An eclectic line-up of stars like Salman, Mithun Preity and the Deol brothers -- Bobby and Sunny are likely to attract a sizable number at the ticket counters.
Cons: Director Karnik is yet to taste BO success. His previous films Kyun! Ho Gaya Naa and Nanhe Jaisalmer failed to click. Will he get third time lucky?

Director: Sanjay Gupta
Plot: As the tag-line of the film reads, 'In a cold world... you need friends to keep you warm.' Alibaug is said to be a semi-autobiographical account of a crucial episode in Gupta's life during his stay in the picturesque, coastal town of Maharashtra.
Pros: The multiplex audience is more than happy to embrace anything that's not run-of-the-mill, which Alibaug is projected to be by its makers.
Cons: Then again, they didn't give two hoots for Gupta's supposedly unconventional Dus Kahaniyaan.

Director: Kunal Kohli
Plot: An angel with attitude. Desi Mary Poppins (Rani Mukerji) comes to town to manage a bunch of petulant kids, fathered by Saif Ali Khan, in Kunal Kohli's yet untitled fairy-tale.
Pros: It's always a delight to watch suave Saif and ravishing Rani cootchie-coo on celluloid.
Cons: Remember how Saif and Rani's last outing (Ta Ra Rum Pum), with kids in tow, tanked without trace?

Cast: Harman Baweja, Priyanka Chopra and Boman Irani.
Director: Harry Baweja
Plot: Plenty of romance, action and thrills take place in Mumbai, circa 2050.
Pros: Not only does Love Story 2050 mark the debut of Baweja's son, Harman, the lavishly-budgeted sci-fi flick boasts of heavy-duty SFX and a specially created robot named Boo accompanying Priyanka throughout.
Cons: Best known for the musical Dilwale and The Rock remake, Qayamat, Harry Baweja isn't exactly the name you would associate with a futuristic drama.

Plot: X (Salman) is peeved with God (AB). God decides to put X in his shoes. X learns a divine lesson. Moral of the story? God tussi great ho.
Pros: An all powerful Bachchan reacting to Salman's end-of-my- wits goofiness. This should be amusing.
Cons: A much-delayed version of Bruce Almighty anyone?
