Interview : Katrina Kaif grows wiser! |
Here are the Excerpts: Your latest flick is titled as Race. Do you by any means consider yourself to be a part of this rat race. Not really. In fact I believe in competing with myself. I want to desperately prove that I'm good at anything I care to start. Today we get to see young hotties like you being paired against Bollywood big league of senior actors. What's your take on that? You see, most of the superstars are now in their 40's or are nearing forty. But that really doesn't make any difference since they are so good-looking and have maintained themselves so well. It's hard to imagine how they have done it. But it definitely makes me happy to work with them. They are fit and active as any youngster. That's truly commendable. You are doing Yash Raj Films. So can we expect to see you in a bikini clad role this time? Yes, I am a part of Yash Raj Films' next venture. But I don't get to sport any such attire. It's a mind-blowing role and a dream chance. But working with YRF's doesn't imply that we have to go for a bikini scene. YRF's cinemas are better known for their Indian essence and charm, though packed in a contemporary way. You come form a completely non-filmy background. Was finding a foot in Bollywood a tough task? I've been lucky enough to get the support from many Bollywood insiders. Many people flocked to my aid when I needed one. Initially Ram Gopal Verma guided me through Bollywood ways. But not anymore. There have been people like Anil Sharma, Vipul Shah, Sohail Khan and David Dhawan who have stood by me in tough times. You didn't mention Salman Khan.
So does Salman help you in choosing your films? I wouldn't like to comment on that. But yes, I'd like to say that I'm a girl with a mind of my own and I very well know to take my own decisions. There are many who help me with their advices. But the ultimate choice is always mine. Apart from you, there are two other hotties in Race. Who do you think is the hottest looking actress here? Everybody are looking their best in the film. So it's hard to comment. |
