Saif to Play Joker Now

Farah Khan's husband Shirish Kunder continues to have problems with his ambitious project Joker. Earlier, when Shah Rukh Khan was supposed to play the lead and produce the film, actor Akshay Kumar was part of the project.

But now that Kunder has decided to produce the film himself, it seems that Akshay too has walked out of the film. Fortunately for Kunder, actor Saif Ali Khan has stepped into the film and will now be playing the male lead. According to sources, Kunder had creative difference with SRK and the two had a fallout following which even Akshay had second thoughts about working with Kunder. It's not clear whether he was having second thoughts about the money or the role. But hr is believed to have sent a message to the director saying that he is not interested in the film anymore. Naturally, Kunder was disappointed but he wasted no time in getting Saif Ali Khan into the project. In fact, Saif is said to be very enthusiastic about the film. Editor-turned-director, Kunder plans to start work on Joker in early 2009 and release the film by the end of the year.. Joker, which is set in the future, is an action comedy.
