She did no substantial type movies, and gets the title ji. I thought Woman of the Year belonged to those who did something out of the way...or did she by marrying Abhishek? Wow, that's so amazing ji.

Anywayz, who cares who gets the Woman of the Year Award ji? Hindi mein saying hai na, karam kariye jao, something something(anyone feel free to help me out ji). A person should do what they believe in soley for the purpose of their belief, not for an award. A round of applause for all the woman who actually do something that tries to make a difference in a life or many lives from me ji

OMG this totally sucks……. 🤢

When we have really powerful women in India, women entrepreneurs who are giving tough competition to male components, Women who are working in NGO and for social rights of young girls and women in country… we have got so many women who are living for a cause and they need to be appreciated for there work.

Really what has ash done for her country or anything for women in general…… she has all the money in the world, but hardly does any charity... unless she need publicity for her movie..

I know abt the school … but it was done on a purpose because the land was under dispute… (Amar.. whatever his name his.. 😡 ) played it politically… if the land dispute would not rise they would not cum up with school as well and Bachchans can do better after all the years in the industry all the money they stocked up… and they want to give there country a School……

And we want to give her the award for that.... Vanity !! 🤢

Superb articles...ASH really knws how to balance her personal n professional live...She deserved it..

n gawd ASH bashing is still on..but the article has written somthing abt those ppl aswell who are so much in love to bash her..lolllzzz....so useless..they must hav got alot of time to waste instead of doing somthing gud..

Don't be angry but Aish deserves the title of Woman of the year !

According to the latest Filmfare magazine, she's the most powerful actress in 2007.Not because her wedding, but she doesn't quit her career after her mariage and she was amazing in Dhoom 2, Guru(even if her role was small she has doing a fantastic job) and Provoked. She is still the first choice for the producteur.

For me it's enough for the title " the Woman of the year ".

PS : If people don't accept the fact that she is loved and appreciated, please don't come on her subject.

How can she not be woman of the year?

She's the only woman in Bollywood who is EVEN STRONGER after marriage and continues to maintain herself as a top actress. Which what a woman of today is, ambicious and hardworking.

Three big hits in a row Dhoom-2 Guru and Jodha Akbar, along with a critically acclaimed performance in Provoked.

A hospital is being built under name. Just to let y'all know on her official website there was something called The Aishwarya Rai Foundation, where she was raising money to build a hospital and has been saving up to do so, you dont hear about that bcuz people are too busy talkin about her and Abhishek. Im sure the funds seh has raised are gonna go towards the hospital.

And Not to mention she's the most powerful actress of Bollywood and even when she remains at her lowest (career wise) she still maintains that position.

If that doesnt deserve woman of the year. Then people have problems. Perhaps people want Aishwarya to go out with a middle aged man or dress like a stripper to be considered woman of the year/

I think Ash is cool, and I said if the criteria was to maintain personal and professional life! She wins the award no doubt as she has done an admirable job of that!!! 👏

But if its about women who actually empower the society and make a difference in other womens life. Sorry to say, Ash and other bollywood actresses do not deserve such a title at all. Compared to people like Jasvinder Kaur or Oprah Winfrey, the achievements you so described seems very insignificant in the social works aspect. 😛

And we all have a right to express our opinion, just because we don't agree with you, does not mean we have problems.

I think that the media exaggerate.

But a school was named after her. She gave some money to buy a machine for a hospital during her birthday .

I don't think that the medias speaks about that.
